So it was on the weekend that we decided to go to our farm and find something to eat. I went there with my family. Mostly on Sundays, whenever I go home in the province, we always crave something. That's why we would look for something to cook, and as we are living in an abundant environment, we regularly find it nearby, like in the garden or on our farm. Moments like this also serve as our family bond, enjoying our quality time together.
By the way, what I have here today for you is banana cue as the finished product, which is totally fresh from the farm and made with love. We have found ripe bananas there and, without further ado, prepared what's needed.
In fact, banana cue is a famous snack among Filipinos. The type of banana that, as far as I know, is commonly used for this is cardava, a hybrid banana native to the Philippines. It's a cooking banana that is often made into banana cue, the one that I'll be sharing with you today. Banana cue is more than just for munching at home; it can be sold to make money as well. This is actually one of our best-known street foods here in the Philippines!
BANANA CUE
Ingredients
The basic ingredients that we need to have are just bananas, cooking oil, and sugar. Yes, when we do this, we constantly use just that. But since we people are known for our love of innovation and we do have various preferences, others would also use condensed milk or caramel as an additional or alternative to sugar. Actually, bananas can be cooked in different ways: either boiled, put in spring roll wrappers, or directly deep-fried.
Step-by-step Process
First, you peel the bananas. To ensure that the inside would be sufficiently cooked, we divided it in half.
Wash the bananas. While sometimes we actually soak it in water, you can also just wash it and make sure it's moist to ensure that the sugar sticks to the banana when cooked.
Put cooking oil in the frying pan, and wait for the oil to heat or boil.
Then, add a sufficient amount of sugar. You really have to make sure the oil is already boiled before putting it in. Otherwise, the sugar would be glued to your ladle instead of the bananas.
- Hold off until the sugar floats. Once it floats, you can add the bananas and stir to mix it with sugar. You just have to stir it until it's all cooked! After that, it's all good!
CHARANNN! A YUMMY BANANA CUE FOR Y'ALL.
After following those easy steps, you and your loved ones can now enjoy a delicious snack. I believe anything that is made with love tastes even better. So, pour your heart into it and savor a more flavorful product.
That will be all, dear Hivers. I hope this helps and has brought you some fun. Thank you so much for reading, and have a great day ahedead! ♡♡

Wow, this banana cue looks so yummy and inviting. Didn't know you can fry bananas too because here we just eat them raw. I enjoyed reading the post.

Hello, miss @luchyl! Wow, we're actually the same! 😂 We sometimes eat it raw as long as it's ripe, though some other types of bananas cannot be fried. This Cardava banana is a cooking banana, so we can either eat it raw, boiled, or deep-fried. Thank you so much for reading! I appreciate it. 🥰
Yeah, there are some bananas that can't be cooked, they are just eaten like that when ripe.
You are welcome, fren
