My recipe for cooking Adobong Manok || Chicken Adobo 😋

Good day everyone, hope everything goes well. Today I will share with you a pictures I captured while cooking "Adobong Manok || Chicken Adobo" for our dinner.

This afternoon 5 pm, while I am washing the dishes my mother arrived at home from her work and she brought a 1 kilo of chopped chicken. She told me to cook it for our dinner this evening.

After washing the dishes, I get the chicken and washed it with clean water and separate the other half of it and put it on the refrigerator for tomorrow's breakfast then prepare all the ingredients to be used.

So what are the ingredients that I prepared for cooking? Here they are :

  1. 1/2 kilo of chopped chicken
  2. Onion
  3. Garlic
  4. Black pepper
  5. Bay leaf
  6. 1 tbl. spoon of sugar
  7. Calamansi (lemon)
  8. Vinegar
  9. Oil
  10. Soy sauce
  11. 1/2 glass of water (optional)
  12. Seasonings

After getting all of those ingredients let us proceed to the procedure:

Procedures :

  1. In a pan, put an oil then suit the garlic and onion tell the aroma comes out.

  2. Put the cleaned chicken in the pan with garlic and onion and mix them together. Cover the pan for 20 seconds.

  3. Remove the cover in the pan and pour the rest of the ingredients, soy sauce, vinegar, calamansi syrup, 1 tbl. spoon of sugar, black pepper, bay leaf, 1/2 glass of water and the seasonings.

  4. Mix them all, then return the cover in the pan, and wait for one to two minutes till the chicken is well cooked. Make sure to get your expected taste you wanted.

  5. Finally, after 1 to 2 minutes the chicken adobo is now ready for serving.

Then the adobong manok is one of the menu in our table for dinner 😋.
