For many, many years, El Jobo was a very popular restaurant. It is located in a popular village, El Jobo, which is known for it's cattle farming.
El Jobo was not just a very popular restaurant for it's delicious lunch buffets with a really good price, but also because of their store right next to the restaurant, where you can purchase, fresh cheese, milk, cream, meats etc, from it's own cattle farm.
The buffets were amazing, you could get delicious chicken soups, different kinds of cooked chicken dishes, or beef dishes with rice, fresh tortillas, salad and a drink for below $3 US. It was amazing.
When we lived on the coast, on the beach, we would enjoy this restaurant quite often, because the price was right and you had many choices of foods to pick from and they were all delicious.
This time when we finally had a chance to stop by this restaurant we were surprised that it had a different owner and the name of the restaurant changed, and so did it's menu.
The restaurant is now called Altezza El Jobo. Everything is the same, except the menu.
There is no more buffet, but a menu from which you can order your dishes from.
We ordered a dish with a steak, potatoes, red onion, toasted tomatoes and tortilla. The food was absolutely delicious and the price was very good too.
One of the very cool things about this place is that it has a water cooling roof, so it looks like it's raining outside, when it's actually really hot and sunny.
And of course, you can also buy your fresh cream, cheese, milk etc. right there too. They also had ice cream 😋😋😋
