I love fajitas, especially beef/steak fajitas. I don't buy fajita tortillas anymore because of all the bad ingredients in it, so instead tortollas , I use pitas for my fajitas.
I usually make the beef/steak fajitas, but today we bought some BBQ chicken and I thought that I will try to make some chicken fajita pitas.
I cut some onion into slices and cooked it on the pan wuth a little bit of salt.
Then I cut some green peppers and cooked that on the pan also and once I was done, I mixed the onion and green pepper together.
I seperated the chicken into pieces and also cooked that on the pan. I usually add some BBQ sauce, but I didn't have any.
While cooking the chicken, I put the pitas in a oven to warm up, and then I would cut the pitas around it so that I can put the chicken mix inside pita.
Once the chicken was ready, I would mix it all together with the veggies.
Next, I put the chicken mix inside the pita and added some salsa and cream.
The pitas are quite challenging when you try to cut them and are a bit messy when filling them up, but really delicious.
The chicken fajita pitas were delicious, but not as good without the BBQ sauce or sime kind of tomato sause and I still prefer my beef/steak fajitas over chicken fajitas. How about you?
