Hey Everyone!!
After a long and busy week, I always make sure to take some time for myself and my friends. Life is all about happiness, and to truly enjoy it, we need to manage time for ourselves and our loved ones. This weekend, I headed out in the evening for some grocery shopping and planned to try a new recipe. I had heard about Rasam Rice from a popular Bollywood actress who called it her favorite dish. The hype around it made me curious, so I decided to give it a try and bought all the necessary ingredients.
Once my shopping was done, it was time to indulge in some street food. Here are some of the delicious treats I enjoyed:
Pani Puri
Pani Puri is my all-time favorite street food. These crispy, deep-fried balls are filled with curd, peas, sauce, onion and other flavorful ingredients. I can never skip this dish whenever I go out to eat. The combination of crunchy puris with tangy and spicy fillings is simply irresistible.
Thukpa
Next, I had Thukpa, a comforting noodle soup. This flavorful soup, served steaming hot, is packed with vegetables, spices, and noodles. It is not just delicious but also perfect for chilly evenings.
Spicy Noodles
As an Indian, I love spicy and flavorful street food. I couldn't resist having a plate of hot and spicy noodles. The perfectly cooked noodles, mixed with crunchy vegetables and fiery sauces, made for a delightful treat.
I didn’t eat all of this alone; my friends were with me to share the food and fun. After our feast, we spent some time at a salon and parlour before heading back home.
Once I reached home, I started preparing Rasam Rice. It was my first time making it, but I followed the recipe carefully. The combination of tangy tamarind, aromatic spices, and warm rice made for a truly delicious dish. Now I understand why there was so much hype around it! Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture, but I can assure you that it was absolutely worth trying.
To end the day on a relaxing note, we had dinner while watching a movie. It was a fulfilling and fun weekend spent with great food and good company.
Hope you all also enjoyed the weekend like I did. Also, let me if you have you ever tried Indian street food? Which one is your favorite? Let me know in the comments!
