Pancit Canton Recipe
Pancit canton is a sort of tossed noodles known as flour sticks that is similar to Lo Mein. This meal is frequently offered at birthdays and other important occasions to represent long life. It is made with a variety of ingredients and has a festive appearance. It's also wonderful because of the blend of flavors.
Today my mom ask to to cook pancit canton and i want to share to all of you the recipe of my "pancit canton"
Ingredients needed:
Garlic 3 cloves
Onion 1 piece
Chicken breast 1/4 kg
Cabbage 1 piece
Carrots 2
Flour stick noodles(i used whelm's) 360g
Soy sauce 3 tbsp
Oysters sauce 3 tbsp
Salt and pepper to taste
Knor chicken cubes 1 piece
Water 1 cup
Procedure:
Begin by chopping the vegetables. Blanch the cabbage and snap carrots. Blanching is a cooking procedure that keeps vegetables' texture and color. To begin, prepare a big bowl large enough to hold all of the vegetables. Half of it should be filled with cold water and ice. Remove the bowl from the table. Meanwhile, fill a cooking pot halfway with water and add all of the vegetables. Cook for less than a minute (about 50 seconds) before transferring the vegetables to the ice water dish. The temperature of the water prevents the vegetables from cooking any further, keeping them crisp and vibrant. Set aside the vegetables. These will be restored near the end of the procedure.
After that saute until the onion and garlic are tender. Continue to cook the meat until it turns light brown in color. Seasonings and chicken broth can be added. Allow to boil, then cover and continue to cook until the meats are soft. Add salt and pepper, soy sauce, oyster sauce and water. On the high heat saute the pancit for 10 mins then Cover with lid until the pancit soften for 5 mins. Add the blanched vegetables and your done.
