Today I show you how to prepare delicious corn flourcake at home.
This dish is very healthy because its base ingredient is corn flour. This is a high source of fiber, which makes it a food high in nutrients and vitamins, suitable for a healthy and varied diet.
Corn flourcake are ideal for breakfast, dinner or snacks. The best thing is that they can be filled with a thousand fillings and are absolutely delicious.
This time I put two different types of cheese in my corn flourcake , leaf cheese and Cheddar cheese. I also added some extra spices that give it the magic touch. I hope you like it, let's get startedđ!
Hoy te enseĂąo a preparar unas deliciosas arepas en casa.
Este platillo es muy saludable ya que su ingrediente base es la harina de maĂz. Ăsta es una fuente alta de fibra, lo que lo convierte en un alimento alto en nutrientes y vitaminas, apto para una alimentaciĂłn sana y variada.
Las arepas son ideales para desayunar, cenar o merendar. Lo mejor es que admite mil rellenos y son absolutamente deliciosas.
En esta ocasiĂłn a mis arepas yo los coloque dos tipos de queso diferentes, Queso de hoja y Queso Cheddar. TambiĂŠn le agregue unas especias extra que le dan el toque mĂĄgico. Espero que te guste vamos a comenzarđ!
⢠Ingredients:
⢠1 cup corn flour (I used Pan brand flour)
⢠1 cup of water
⢠2 g salt
⢠For the filling:
⢠50 g Cheddar cheese
⢠1 small ball of leaf cheese
⢠1 tablespoon of butter
⢠7.5 g thyme powder
⢠5 g garlic powder
⢠Oil for frying.
Ingredientes:
⢠1 taza de Harina maĂz (yo utilice harina de la marca Pan)
⢠1 taza de agua
⢠2 g de sal
⢠Para el relleno:
â˘50 g de queso Cheddar
â˘1 bola pequeĂąa de queso de hoja.
â˘1 cucharada sopera de mantequilla
â˘7.5 g de tomillo en polvo
⢠5 g de ajo en polvo
â˘Aceite para freĂr.
Preparation
⢠We will begin by placing the corn flour, water and salt in a bowl.
⢠Mix until the ingredients are integrated.
PreparaciĂłn:
â˘Comenzaremos colocando en un recipiente la harina de maĂz, el agua y la sal.
â˘Mezclamos hasta que se integren los ingredientes.
â˘Then we are going to knead for a few minutes until the mixture becomes compact.
â˘Let it rest for 3 minutes and proceed to divide the dough into 4 equal parts.
â˘Then we proceed to shape our corn flourcake, first we make a ball with our hands and then we flatten slightly until we get the shape of the corn flourcake.
â˘Once we have molded all of them, we will place them in a plate to cook them.
â˘DespuĂŠs vamos a amasar durante unos minutos hasta que la mezcla se torne compacta.
â˘Dejamos reposar por 3 minutos y procedemos a dividir la masa en 4 partes iguales.
â˘Luego pasamos a darle forma a nuestras arepas. Primero hacemos una bola con nuestras manos y luego aplastamos ligeramente hasta obtener la forma de la arepa.
â˘Una vez hayamos moldeado todas las colocaremos en un plato para cocinarlas.
â˘Then we put oil in a pan and let it heat up.
â˘Then place the arepas one by one.
â˘We are going to cook them approximately a few minutes on each side until they are golden brown on the outside and cooked inside, over medium heat (5 minutes).
â˘And now you have some nice corn flourcake to fill themđ.
â˘A continuaciĂłn ponemos aceite en una salten y dejamos calentar.
â˘DespuĂŠs vamos colocando las arepas una a una.
â˘Las vamos a cocinar aproximadamente unos minutos por cada lado hasta que estĂŠn doraditas por fuera y cocinadas por dentro, a fuego medio ( 5 minutos)
â˘Y ya tienes unas lindas arepitas para rellenarlasđ.
â˘Before stuffing, we will make a dressing:
â˘Place the butter, garlic powder and thyme in a small bowl.
â˘With a fork we are going to mix until the mixture is homogeneous.
â˘Antes de rellenar le haremos una aderezo:
â˘Colocamos en una taza pequeĂąa la mantequilla, el ajo en polvo y el tomillo.
â˘Con un tenedor vamos a mezclar hasta que la mezcla este homogĂŠnea.
â˘A continuaciĂłn vamos a abrir nuestras arepas y le untaremos nuestro aderezo.đ
â˘For the filling:
â˘We will cut the leaf cheese into rounds.
â˘And add to our corn flourcake the grated cheese and then the leaf cheese and Voila!
â˘Here are some delicious corn flourcake with cheese to enjoy!đ
Para el relleno:
â˘Cortaremos el queso de hoja en ruedas.
â˘Y aĂąadiremos a nuestras arepas el queso rallado y posteriormente el queso de hoja y Voila!!!!!
â˘He aquĂ unas deliciosas arepas para disfrutar!!đ
