Good evening dear friends, I wish you a happy start of the week.... In this opportunity, I will share with you one of my favorite recipes for breakfast or snack in an exquisite, healthy and nutritious way. I will explain how to prepare delicious zucchini arepas with oatmeal.
Let's put on our aprons and start our fun process...
Buenas noches queridos amigos, les deseo un feliz comienzo de semana... En ésta oportunidad, compartiré con ustedes una de mis recetas predilectas para desayunar o merendar de forma una forma exquisita, saludable y nutritiva. Les explicaré como preparar unas deliciosas "arepas de calabacín con avena".
Pongámonos el delantal y empecemos nuestro divertido proceso...

- The first step will be: add to a bowl 1 cup of corn flour along with 1 cup of water, add 1 teaspoon of salt mixed with a touch of water, knead until well integrated.
- El primer paso será: agregar a un bowl 1 taza de harina de maíz junto con 1 taza de agua, añadimos 1 cucharadita de sal mezclada con un toque de agua, amasamos hasta integrar bien.

We incorporate our healthy and appetizing ingredients to the dough... We place 2 tablespoons of oat flakes along with 3 heaping tablespoons of grated zucchini, I suggest grating on the coarse side.
We cover and let it rest for 20 minutes... The dough should have a soft and manageable consistency.
- Incorporamos a la masa nuestros saludables y apetitosos ingredientes... Colocamos 2 cucharadas de avena en hojuelas junto con 3 cucharadas colmadas de calabacín rallado, les sugiero rallar por el lado "grueso".
- Tapamos y dejaremos reposar durante 20 minutos... La masa nos deberá quedar con una consistencia suave y manejable.

- Let's start our wonderful process... We knead again and make the balls that we will flatten until we get a circle, the thickness and size I leave to your choice.
- Empecemos nuestro maravilloso proceso... Amasamos de nuevo y armamos las bolas que aplastaremos hasta lograr un círculo, el grueso y tamaño se los dejo a su elección.

- We will cook our appetizing arepas in a non-stick frying pan, until golden brown on both sides. I suggest adding a touch of oil to the bottom of the pan.
- Cocinaremos nuestras apetitosas arepas en un sartén antiadherente, hasta que se doren por ambos lados. Les sugiero añadir un toque de aceite en el fondo del sartén.
