It's been a while since I did a post on the meals I've made. I don't take photos of everything I create but every once in a while I remember to snap a photo or two for Hive. I make a lot of the same meals anyway so taking a dinner time shot each night would be a bit repetive. Meat-potatos & vegetables, meat-potatoes & vegetables, stew, stew, stew...etc.
Anyway, I've collected enough variation over the past months to do a Hive post on the subject. That being said, lets see what I've been eating. Bon appetit!
I'm going to start with a classic poached egg for breakfast. It was served on toast with a tomato garnish. I haven't done one of these in a while. This one actually dates back a ways.
Next is a beef stew with mashed potatoes. It's something that I make literally all the time. I Pretty much make this dish every Sunday.
Here is another version of it. It's always the same and at the same time, always a little different.
Next is a pork chop with vegetables (roasted carrots, green beans and orange peppers). A simple and quick meal.
Next is BBQ chicken thighs, roasted carrots and a salad. I actually eat a salad like this every single night. It's typically served in a bowl on the side so it doesn't make it into any of the photographs. But all of these meals would have been accompanied by a similar salad.
Next is another night of BBQ chicken, this time with rice, green beans, carrots and rutabega.
The next dish was unusual for me. It was a potato hash with bacon. It was basically a breakfast for dinner kind of meal. A low effor dish, very quick to prepare and cook. Comforting nonetheless.
I'm throwing in a restaurant pic as well. At this location I had a steak. The sides were served "family style" separately, so they hadn't made it to the plate yet.
Next was chicken thighs two ways. BBQ sauce on one and coriander spice on the other. That's me not knowing what I want I suppose or having a hankering for both. I served it with rice, roasted carrots and a salad.
Next we have BBQ pork loin. Clearly I am over using BBQ sauce as an ingredient 😂. Nearly every meal is BBQ. 😅 That was served with green beans, yellow peppers and bread with butter.
Next is another beef stew that I made a little different this time. I put a pie shell overtop. Ta da! It was a minor change but enough to make it interesting. I changed a few ingredients as well to give it a different flavor.
My last meal to show off was another attempt at Paella. It's not the most authentically Spanish, I'll never be that good, but it turned out pretty decent, for my tastes at least.
I served it with steamed mussels and a salad and lit some candles for ambiance.
Wow those are some great looking meals, nice plating and yummy.
Thanks. Most are pretty simple meals and a lot are very similar but I suppose a lot of people eat the same thing regularly 🤔
Thank you! 😄
Wow, that looks all really good!
The paella with mussles was one of my favourites!
The Paella was a good meal that I don't do very often. It's not a common dish in Canada. I like to keep it as a special occasion dish.
All these dishes looks exiit from a cuisine newspaper !!😍 Beef stew in both way looks juicy, also all the BBQ stuff looks super and wow wow wow for the paella 🥘🥘🥘
Thanks that's a nice compliment. I appreciate the comment. Thanks for checking it out
