Happy and blessed day my people Hive, today I briefly show you what I do when there are arepas in my house and they are saved to be prepared for the next day. Well, as you know, the arepa is a typical food of Venezuela, which we eat for breakfast or dinner and sometimes when someone does not want to have dinner we keep it in the fridge to be prepared like toast, it is nothing more than the arepa stuffed with what we want bathed in egg and fried. We only need a stuffed or plain arepa, an egg, oil and salt to taste.
Esta arepa la dejo mi sobrina en la noche, ya que no quiso cenar, pues la guardo en la nevera y yo la utilice de desayuno en día siguiente. Tomando en cuenta que en estos tiempos difíciles no debemos botar la comida, pensando siempre que hay personas que no tienen que comer.
This arepa was left by my niece at night, since she did not want to have dinner, as I keep it in the fridge and I use it for breakfast the next day. Taking into account that in these difficult times we should not throw food away, always thinking that there are people who do not have to eat.
Tomo un huevo y lo bato muy bien, agregándole una pizca de sal.
I take an egg and beat it very well, adding a pinch of salt.
Baño mi arepa con el huevo, para que esta ablande y se impregne del mismo.
I bathe my arepa with the egg, so that it softens and becomes impregnated with it.
La dejamos reposando un rato para que agarre suavidad.
We leave it resting for a while so that it grips smoothly.
En aceite colocamos la arepa con todo el huevo a fuego medio.
In oil we place the arepa with all the egg over medium heat.
Volteamos y cocinamos bien por ambos lados, hasta que quede doradita.
Turn and cook well on both sides, until golden brown.
