I do that all the time, take a recipe and adjust it, coz when I search for recipes they all have slightly different proportions of the ingredients. These recipes sre great for using up old fruit, i got two apples sitting at home for two weeks 😅 gonna bake them in a cake soon

I have noticed that as well, and I also tend to adjust the proportions because of it, but from now on, I will for sure use only half of the advised sugar quantity, especially when the recipe contains fruits.
I like my cakes sweet but not when it means eating sugar by the spoon.
