VERSIÓN EN ESPAÑOL
Saludos amig@s, un gusto compartir con ustedes esta preparación como lo es la Ensalada de Pepitonas, así llamamos al molusco bivalvo filtrador Arca Zebra en nuestro país Venezuela.
Acostumbro a preparar mi ensalada para cenar o desayunar acompañada de arepitas tostadas, casabe o pan tostado y si gustan comerla sola, también es válido. Es muy rica y saludable.
Ingredientes:
- 1/2 kg de Pepitonas
- 50 grs de cilantro
- 50 grs de perejil
- 50 grs de celery
- 1 tomate maduro
- 1 cebolla mediana
- 5 ajíes dulces rojos
- 4 dientes de ajo
- 1/2 taza de mayonesa
- 1 cucharadita de sal o cantidad necesaria según gusto
- 1 cucharada de vinagre
- 1 cucharada de jugo de limón
- 3 cucharadas de aceite preferiblemente de oliva
- 1 ají picante (opcional)
Preparación:
En una olla de presión coloco las pepitonas con 3 vasos de agua durante media hora o hasta que estén suaves, después de blandas, picarlas en 3 partes cada una.
Picar muy bien el cilantro, perejil, celery, tomate, cebolla y los ajíes.
Cortar o machacar los dientes de ajo.
En un envase donde vaya a colocar la ensalada, verter el vinagre, jugo de limón, aceite de oliva, mayonesa, sal y ajo.
Mezclar muy bien.
Incorporar a la mezcla las pepitonas y vegetales, mezclar y probar, si considera un poco más de sal, incorporarla porque es a gusto de los comensales y ¡buen provecho!.

Greetings friends, a pleasure to share with you this preparation as it is the Salad of Pepitonas, so we call the filtering bivalve mollusk Arca Zebra in our country Venezuela.
I usually prepare my salad for dinner or breakfast with toasted arepitas, cassava or toasted bread and if you like to eat it alone, it is also valid. It is very tasty and healthy.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 kg of Pepitonas
- 50 grams of coriander
- 50 grams of parsley
- 50 grams of celery
- 1 ripe tomato
- 1 medium onion
- 5 red sweet peppers
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 1/2 cup of mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon of salt or amount needed according to taste
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 3 tablespoons of oil, preferably olive oil
- 1 hot bell pepper (optional)
Preparation:
In a pressure cooker place the cucumbers with 3 glasses of water for half an hour or until they are soft, after they are soft, chop them in 3 parts each.
Chop very well the cilantro, parsley, celery, tomato, onion and chili peppers.
Chop or crush the garlic cloves.
In a container where the salad will be placed, pour the vinegar, lemon juice, olive oil, mayonnaise, salt and garlic.
Mix very well.
Add the gherkins and vegetables to the mixture, mix and taste, if you consider a little more salt, add it because it is to the taste of the diners and bon appetit!
