Have you tried the MILO DINOSAUR?

in Foodies Bee Hive3 years ago (edited)

What is that you say? It's a dinosaur. It's Milo Dinosaur. Milo is a chocolate malt drink that is quite popular here in Malaysia. You can order this in any restaurant , cafes here. But Milo Dinosaur is another beast all by itself. After a cup of ice Milo is made, Milo powder is then added on top. It doesn't work for hot Milo. I am @luueetang from Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia. Sarawak is lies on the island of Borneo.

This is the ultimate thirst quencher especially on a hot day.

NEE'S WESTERN FOOD

This is what Western Food looks like here in Sarawak. I ordered the Chicken cutlet. Chicken Cutlet is basically breaded deboned chicken meat fried to the max. Super duper crunchy. Do read on to see the pictures later. One plate here cost RM 15 / USD 3.50.

There are other food stalls here.

In case you crave for other food. In Sarawak, usually most open eateries are open air like the one you see above in the picture with lots of stalls inside.

I think he needs better pants.

He's the guy who made my food.

My wife and my niece were there with me.

It was hot and scorching at around 5 PM. I could feel the hair on my arms burning screaming for help. Sweat came pouring out. Pouring.

Three layer tea

Density works so beautifully at times. Ice is water but frozen and it floats. This drink combines tea, milk and a layer of caramelized sugar.

Avery enjoying her cup of Milo Dinosaur.

Avery loves it. But we did not let her drink the whole cup.

She covered her nose because there was a stall that cooked something that irritated her. In case your asking, why she covered her nose.

Chicken Cutlet

Golden brown crispy with french fries, baked bean and its special sauce.

Ordered two same plates. One for me and the other for my wife and Avery. Usually at places that serve the Malaysian version of Western food, they provide cutlery. That knife is sharp.

Poured that special sauce on the Chicken cutlet.

I cut everything into small bits for easy consumption. Usually, I don't show the after the meal photo because I want to preserve how the food comes and is prepared.

favorite drink when in malaysia. For some reason, the taste of milo from Malaysia is better than milo in Indonesia. It reminds me of my last trip in Kuala Lumpur before the 2019 covid pandemic, I lost three large packs of milo on the MRT because I forgot. ha ha.
