I think it really depends on the place. This one is intermediate. It's slightly more expensive than the local price, but not too much.
Bali is such a goal! I heard there are some really cheap places in Bali.
That seems similar here esp prices along the beach with a view like that! Bali is somewhere in the middle, depending on where you stay, where to eat, it can get a bit pricey but 500-700$/month you should live a good live here and eat really well. And I just heard from others that sometimes it feels like getting scammed because even for water, you still have to pay. Is that the case there too? where you can't do tap water but rather buy a bottled ones.
$500-700/month is manageable! I wanna stay there for at least a month. 😱 So many travel plans, so little budget!
Tap water is safe to drink, but people here are already accustomed to bottled or mineral water. I'm fine with drinking tap water. I remember when we were struck by Super Typhoon Odette last December, my mother wouldn't drink the available water because it was not mineral water. I was forced to buy 1 box of bottled water for $10.
Just come here before they close the border again 🤣 for now if you're fully vaxx + boosted, no quarantine needed. I've never met someone from Philippine here but some I met are from singapore and LATAM. To give you a picture there are places as cheap as 8$/night with a pool. I asked around some people spend 200$/month and that comes with the pool as well(look for rental places on facebook). Food, depends but 15$/day is plenty. Motorbike depends but that's about 70-90$/month. There are some amazing diving spots here like in Amed and they don't cost a lot as well.
So you're staying in Bali now? I still have a lot of local travels until June. I might consider it in the 3rd or 4th quarter this year. Thank you for the insight though.
Yeah,I am currently in Bali until the 8th. Just met up with some hivers around here as well couple days ago.Let me know if you come to Bali because I am considering moving here full time instead of yogyakarta.
Yes! I'm sure I'll contact you because it's good to have a local perspective of the place. But it won't be anytime soon. I still have a lot of considerations to make.
