Welcome to my food episode and this is a very very special one from @mattsanthonyit and I would like everyone to sit down take a cup of tea and relax your muscles because this kind of meal its not easily seen around the restaurants but in some local restaurants which can be find inside local settlement around the neighborhood. This is because the soup I made was sources from a Jute family not commonly seen around like I said.
Furthermore, its very easy to prepare for those of us who are into kitchen food preparation and also who are based chef ๐๐ if you are very very patient enough you will also grab more knowledge from this episode of food preparation. It is more on like how are used to prepare my other meal but this one has a little bit of techniques and procedures you must follow to make it a success and also a palatable delicious meal๐๐.
The name of the soup is called lemon balm soup which is very different from okra soup or Jute soup itself but they are from the same family. Why I said they are from the same family is that the lemon balm soup also draw just like the okra soup or the jute soup when finally prepared for consumption. down below will show an exclusive preparation method techniques are used for preparing this lemon balm soup garnished with semovita as the complement combination for my lunch meal.
Step 1.
In this particular step one I actually served a lemon balm plant from a very far distance plantain plantation farm which is very far from the residential house the name of the farm is called 'Reke farm'I searched the plants when we went last to our plantain farm which the picture will be shown below.
After I saw the plant we got home and the P pareshan of the food started in earnest. As shown below.
Step 2.
- After detaching the leaves from the plant itself, I personally washed it thoroughly within few seconds. Why I said this was that this particular lemon balm plant do coagulate and draw instantly when it drops into the water. Any contact with water it will start elevating it property. so within few seconds I actually watched it thoroughly and drop it into the clean pot as shown below.
Step 3.
- After the washing process I called in my locust beans
Step 4.
- This was how I prepared it softly. and after putting the locust beans I had to place the pot with just the water alone on the fire so as for it to boil at 100ยฐ centigrade. In most cases if you want to prepare jute soup it does not really matter you please day water on the fire to boil. But for this lemon balm soup it is necessary.
At the same time the water for the same Semovita was already on the 2nd cooking gas so as to make my work so easy I'm fast and to be done at the same time.
Nevertheless the lemon balm soup is going on on the 1st gas again as shown below.
Step 5.
- Semovita Preparation: after the semo itself might have being soaked in little quantity of water at first then the mix with your hands this is just an alternative to it. But before then you might have put the water on the fire and boil at 100 degree centigrade. Then pour the mixture of the semovita in today boiling water and stir immediately for a couple of minutes continuously. Then pour the remaining semovita into the boiling solution on the fire or bring it down for easy access and Preparation.
- It was then placed on the fire again the second time and added a little bit of water then cover it.
Step 6.
The last step on this episode, the Lemon Balm boiled Vegetable was left to cool down for more than 20 minutes, then the next step followed which was the blending as Shown below.
- After the blending process, I had to puree it back to the same washed pot and added few ingredients such as Maggi and Salt.
- Lastly, I took it back again on the fire for steaming.
- Even my little baby girl was so much interested in it. Hahaha delicious delicacy for your family
