When I went on holiday to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia I stayed in two different places. The first one I stayed in the Bukit Bintang area and the second one I stayed in the Petaling Street area. Because my holiday wasn't long and only 5 days, my husband and I decided to visit the important places first. However, when I left the hotel and went to the bus stop, I always saw a cookie shop which was always busy with visitors. The smell of the cookies is also very sharp and tempting to enjoy and that makes me very curious. But I still don't want to buy it because I will enjoy the mandatory food in Kuala Lumpur first.
And it was only on my last day in the country that I cured my curiosity by coming when the shop had just opened. And the shop opens at 11.00 AM. While I was waiting for the shop to open, I walked around the place to buy unique items that I caught through my eyepiece. And when the shop opened I was the first customer to order the cake and I couldn't wait to taste this cake which smelled so tempting. Among the choices of cookies available through their storefront. They provide several variants of cookies, namely matcha, sea salt walnut, peanut butter, hazelnut crunch, matcha, chocolate, red velvet, pistachio and many other choices. And I chose peanut butter and original chocolate which has no milk at all and is pure chocolate with a slightly bitter taste.
And let's assess the taste together. Firstly, I thought these cookies were empty and had no filling, but I was wrong. The 2 cookies I ordered all had filling. The first is chocolate cookies which contain butter, chocolate and almonds and sugar. When eaten, the contents will melt, the crunchy taste of the cookies combined with the contents of the cookies blends in your mouth to create the perfect combination. Actually these are delicious cookies, but because I don't like things that are too sweet and currently I never consume granulated sugar anymore so I feel annoyed by the sweetness, and in my opinion personally I don't like these cookies even though these cookies are famous cookies in his country and people will queue up to get it.
Likewise with Peanut butter. The cookies are crunchy but inside have jam with a denser texture compared to the contents of the chocolate cookies. However, in my opinion, the contents remain the same, namely a combination of butter, sugar and roasted nuts, but not almonds like those found in the chocolate cookies. And my assessment of these cookies is also the same. Too sweet, although it tastes quite good. But in the end I couldn't finish it.
And to get these cookies you have to come before 11.00 am to avoid queuing and the name of the shop is Cookiecrumb which is located on Petaling Street, Kuala Lumpur. And I bought these two cookies for RM. 25.25. or if I convert it into American dollars then I will find a price of U$ 5.65 dollars. In your opinion, are the prices for these 2 cookies quite expensive or standard? And everyone has different standards. Greetings from maytom, Indonesia
