This morning for some reason my taste changed suddenly, I wanted a bowl of chicken porridge. However, there are no porridge traders in my village, if I want porridge this early in the morning I have to go to the city which takes up to 15 minutes of travel in normal time, but because morning is a busy time where many students in my village also compete - the competition to go to their school either by using private vehicles or public transportation causes traffic jams every morning to go to the city.
Due to long distance considerations, I initially buried my appetite for a bowl of warm porridge, but when I was shopping at a nearby shop I accidentally saw instant porridge which only served hot water. This porridge has 3 flavors, but I am more interested in buying porridge with the taste of Medan Soto which tastes more savory and has a broth, so that the porridge that will be served later is not dry, and while warm, this porridge will also relieve my throat and stomach. And finally I bought 1 pack of soto-flavored porridge at a price of Rp. 3,000.
This instant porridge has a fairly complete presentation step and on the package of the instant porridge there is also a halal label which is definitely safe to eat for me, who is a Muslim. When I read the steps to make the porridge, it turned out to be very easy and only takes less than 5 minutes to serve and can be enjoyed immediately. In one package of instant porridge, I can find 4 available items, the first is porridge powder, the second is there are crackers that can be eaten directly without being fried first, then there is also a packet of instant broth seasoning and besides the instant broth, we You can find fried onions for sprinkling on top of instant porridge which will certainly be more savory if we enjoy it.
However, I wanted to make this instant porridge even more delicious with the addition of the existing ingredients, and I finally found carrots, beans and tofu, so I decided to incorporate these ingredients into my instant porridge. At first I was confused about combining these ingredients into my porridge, but I had the idea of boiling half-cooked carrots and chickpeas so that they still tasted sweet, then I cut up the tofu that I had fried earlier and sautéed the tofu using red onion. , chili, a little sliced tomato and a mixture of sweet soy sauce, I sauteed the tofu dry without gravy.
Back again with instant porridge, the first step I did was to brew the instant white porridge powder with 50 ML of hot water, then I stirred until the porridge powder was well mixed. Then I made the instant porridge with 50 ML of hot water too and after it was finished I poured it into the instant porridge, without waiting long I arranged the boiled carrots and beans along with stir-fried tofu and I sprinkled it with sliced spring onions and instant fried onions that were available, I also add crackers to my bowl to make it look more delicious. My porridge is ready without any significant hassle. I also only need less than 10 minutes to serve this dish. how about you guys have you ever made it? Greetings from us, Tomi and Maya from BInjai, Indonesia
