A passionate cook adoring kids be like

Do you adore babies? Are you keen on cooking? If you have two “YES”, I am sure you always enjoy your time in the kitchen just like me.

Cooking, for me, is similar to a leisure pursuit. I can be in the kitchen for hours and never get tired of it. Since my baby boy learned to eat, I found that my culinary skill has been enhanced with a lot of creativity.

Without a doubt, kids are always intrigued by visually attractive foods, and my little angel is no exception. And I have taken it as an advantage to introduce my son to a wide range of ingredients, especially vegetables. Making him little tiny dishes, of course, is not easy as the activity requires a certain degree of meticulousness and patience. But when I watch my son eagerly grabbing the meal, I know my time and effort were well spent.

I have prepared countless dishes for him, some of which are completely original. I can only show a few here as I forgot to capture the foods after they were prepared. You may laugh so hard, but the truth is my husband was interested in those meals as much as my son, lol.

The first on my list is eel glass noodles with vegetables. It took me a lot of time to prepare the eel as in my country, Vietnam, eels live under deep muddy water and their skin is very slimy. I remember that my son kept asking me for the next spoon at that time.

Are you a fan of kimbap? Mine is a quarter of the real size

I had to hold my breath for these little rolls otherwise they will not be in good shape

Coming next is chicken rice balls. Chicken is fried with some spices and ground into powder to cover the rice balls completely.

There was a day my neighbour handed me two lovely tiny pumpkins from her garden.

They were so cute that I had to consider turning them into a meal. Finally, I came up with a recipe that helped preserve their original appearance. The central part of the pumpkin was removed, giving space for a mixture of yolk and milk. After 30 minutes of steaming, there came the pumpkin flan.
