People, like me, are frequently delighted by gifts received on important occasions. Knowing how much I like yellow and enjoy cooking, a neighbor secretly ordered a cute yellow bowl set on Shopee and surprised me with it on my birthday.
Green and yellow have always been a powerful color match, right?
I imagined a hot bowl of noodles with smoke billowing in the air after staring at the bowl set for a minute. Knowing that I couldn't wait until the next day to go grocery shopping, I decided to use what I had on hand. Fortunately, despite their scarcity, some of the ingredients available were a wonderful match for a bowl of soba noodles soup. Soba noodles, meat, gim (Korean roasted seaweed), and leek were all I had.
Because it was the first time I used soba noodles in a recipe, I tried not to overpower the soup's flavor with seasonings, herbs, or garlic, as I usually do. Just take a look at the picture and you can see how simple it was to make that noodle bowl, but trust me, the taste of the dish won't disappoint you.
There came the most expected moment, soba noodles soup served in my gifted bowl set
