Hello food lovers!!!
What's up hivers?I hope you are all doing good today .
For today's blog I will be sharing to you a corncake recipe and we called it tikpie in our dialect.
Another way of cooking this recipe is through steam process but for this recipe we did is we boiled it.
We know that everyone of us having our different version on cooking and on our version we usually used the ingredients that usually what's only available on our kitchen.
Whenever we milled a corn ,there are three or part of the corn we can get ,we can have the corn rice ,the tik-tik and the binlod(I don't know what's the English term of it hihi)
Here's the ingredients
-tiktik
-coconut milk
-sugar
-cocoa powder or chocolate
Procedure
In preparing this we didn't use any measurement ,I just estimate the amount of the ingredients.
In big bowl or basin ,add the the tik-tik or cornflour I guess it's English term hihi.
Add the sugar we used 1/4 kilos of it.Then coconut milk ,make sure to have not so wet and not so dry mixture.
When the mixture is ready ,prepare a banana leaves coz were going to use the banana as a wrapper for it.
On wrapping it ,just make a cone shape and add 2 spoons of the mixture.
In a pot just add water and boiled it for about 30minutes .
After 30 minutes ,it ready to serve.
But the. I realized that I missed something lol!
So I bought 1 sachet of cocoa powder and boiled it using 1/2 cup of water but if you have some chocolates you can melt it and used as toppings.
And here's the final looks for out tikpie recipe for snacks☺️
And that's it for today ,I hope you understand the procedure. My apologize as I am not really good in English hihi.
Thank you guys for your time ,see you on my next food blog☺️
Have a great day everyone and stay safe!!!
God bless us all🙏❤️
