I saw a contest @ocd community and I feel opportune to see it so I decided to join the contest, and this is my entry:
In my country we have delicious delicacy and at such one will be confused to have best food choice but not withstanding I will start with when my taste buds feel in love with our local soup called afang soup I couldn't go a day without eating it and if it is not prepared at home I will always find my way to a restaurant to buy it and quench the taste of my stomach.
After sometimes, my stomach changed to loving bitter leaf soupwith okro and melon, yeah that is my best traditional soup right now. I enjoy every taste of it and the thought of it turns my stomach up and down.
what you need to prepare bitter leaf soup
- bitter leaf itself (cut it, wash it, pound it and wash the bitterness off)
- okro
- melon
- stock fish
- goat meat or any beef of your choice
- crayfish, pepper and magi
- palm oil
- periwinkle
How to prepare bitter leaf soup
- prepare your meat, seasoned it and cook it
- wash your stock fish and fish; add it to your cooked meat, add your periwinkle,
- cut your okro
- grind your melon
- add the quantity of water you need in the pot,
- after 30 minutes, add your palm oil,
- allow it stir for 5 minutes, then add your okro
- after 15 minutes add your bitter leaf,
- after 5 minutes, add your melon and allow it for 10 minutes,
- add your magi and then taste it and boom your food is ready.

Bitter leaf soup can also be cooked with waterleaf but personally I love it with okro and the difference is in the taste.

This looks good, writing about your traditional food. I'm not the type that love combination of different soup but it really tasted nice when I tried bitter leaf soup and egusi soup.
I would advise you elaborate more on the cooking steps to attract more readers along side the photos.
What an immense variety of foods there are on earth, if you knew those ingredients, it would be good to try them.
