Nunca en mis 30 años de vida había comido Sushi, aunque me gusta comer y cocinar pescado sigue sin ser mi comida favorita, pero siempre hay una primera vez para todo y no podía privarme de comer Sushi, mi hermana había tenido una mala experiencia gastronómica en otro restaurante pero no podía quedarme son su mala referencia, así que primero tuvimos que buscar en el mapa los restaurantes y guiarnos por las estrellas que habían dejado los comensales.

Never in my 30 years of life I had never eaten Sushi, although I like eating and cooking fish it is still not my favorite food, but there is always a first time for everything and I could not deprive myself of eating Sushi, my sister had had a bad gastronomic experience in another restaurant but I could not stay are her bad reference, so first we had to look on the map the restaurants and guide us by the stars that diners had left.
Nos dirigimos hacia Holy Sushi ubicado en el Centro Comercial Paseo 75 en la ciudad de Maracaibo, qué fue el ganador en la búsqueda y aunque teníamos gps igual nos perdimos, pero finalmente llegamos, el lugar estaba muy lindo y decorado con un estilo oriental, las luces tenues hacían sentir mágico el lugar, con algunos árboles artificial de cerezo qué le hacían ver increíbles, sillas y mesas modernas con diseños, un mural con peces pintados, detalles en las paredes como símbolos y letras chinas.
We headed to Holy Sushi located in the Paseo 75 Shopping Center in the city of Maracaibo, which was the winner in the search and although we had gps we still got lost, but finally we arrived, the place was very nice and decorated with an oriental style, the dim lights made the place feel magical, with some artificial cherry trees that made it look amazing, modern chairs and tables with designs, a mural with painted fish, details on the walls as symbols and Chinese letters.
Nos atendieron rápidamente, pedimos jugos de fresa para observar detalladamente el menú, no tenía idea de que comer y lo mejor en ese momento fue no buscar recomendaciones por parte del mesero, en el menú resaltó una opción de comida que eran los Maracaibo Rolls en su descripción indicaba qué estaba compuesto por plátano, aguacate, queso crema, pescado, kakikama, salsa dinamita, masago, salsa anguila, cebollín y sésamo, esa fue la elección más una entrada de camarones tempurizados.
We were served quickly, we ordered strawberry juices to observe the menu in detail, I had no idea what to eat and the best thing to do at that moment was not to look for recommendations from the waiter, in the menu he highlighted a food option that was the Maracaibo Rolls in its description indicated that it was composed of banana, avocado, cream cheese, fish, kakikama, dynamite sauce, masago, eel sauce, chives and sesame, that was the choice plus a starter of tempura shrimp.
No esperamos más de 20 minutos cuando nuestro pedido estaba servido, debo decir que la entrada estuvo perfecta, los camarones estaban perfectamente cocinados, crujientes por fuera y suavecitos por dentro las salsas qué le acompañaban, más las semillas de sésamo y cebollín eran perfectos.
We did not wait more than 20 minutes when our order was served, I must say that the starter was perfect, the shrimp were perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the sauces that accompanied it, plus the sesame seeds and chives were perfect.
Llegó el momento de probar el Sushi, debo decir que mis expectativas eran bastantes bajas, pero antes tuve que ingeniármelas como tomar los palillos de madera, porque no tenía idea de como se hacía, después de medio dominar los palillos, tomé los rollos de Sushi y llevé el primero a mi boca, debo decir que estaban mejor de lo que esperaba, pero por alguna razón los dos primeros rollos que comí mi paladar reconoció el plátano amarillo seguramente en combinación con alguna de las salsas con un sabor a tamarindo, pero después de un rato pude disfrutar del sabor del pescado y la suave textura del aguacate, pasé un rollo por la salsa que sirvieron en la mesa pero a mi parecer le restaba sabor a los ingredientes del mismo.
It was time to try the Sushi, I must say that my expectations were quite low, but first I had to figure out how to take the wooden chopsticks, because I had no idea how to do it, after half mastering the chopsticks, I took the Sushi rolls and took the first one to my mouth, I must say that they were better than I expected, but for some reason the first two rolls I ate my palate recognized the yellow banana probably in combination with one of the sauces with a tamarind flavor, but after a while I could enjoy the flavor of the fish and the soft texture of the avocado, I passed a roll by the sauce that was served at the table but in my opinion it subtracted flavor to the ingredients of the same.
Para ser mi primera vez comiendo Sushi, fue una excelente experiencia gastronómica ahora debo a volver a explorar otras opciones del menú.

I think I learned to use the chopsticks the right way I'm not really sure about it, keeping an open mind when it comes to new gastronomic experiences is important and that's why I chose rolls that had yellow banana inside them to feel more familiar, they were more delicious than I expected.
Everything looks so tasty, and the sushi makes it even more perfect since it is one of my favorites. 🥰

Whoa, that must be a fun experience for you. I still haven't tried sushi but I want to try it too. There's a lot of people who loves it and thats why im really curious. And what you ordered looks really good, especially the Tempura.

Bueno con ese nombre, el restaurante tiene que dar la talla jajaja ¿Fuiste con tu hermana? me da curiosidad si ya dejó esa mala experiencia atrás.
Las primeras veces con el sushi son complejas, sobre todo si no se elige bien o si se intenta probar de primero algo demasiado tradicional asiático. Creo que lo mejor siempre será comenzar con opciones tempuras, como las que les recomendaron, aunque esa quizá tenía demasiados sabores fuera de lo común en un sushi, pero suena bastante seguro para un primer contacto.
Ojalá puedan repetir alguna vez y seguir con algún tempura pero más oriental, uno termina agarrándole el gusto a esta comida jajaja.
Si, ya dejó la mala experiencia atrás y es que no es para menos.
Para ser mi primera vez, elegí bastante bien cuando vi que los rolls tenían plátano amarillo me pareció excelente porque me encanta, pero para la próxima elegiré algo más tradicional para tener la experiencia completa con respecto al Sushi y espero no perder lo deliciosa que me pareció esta vez.
