Leek and bacon pasta / Pasta de puerro y tocino 🥓🥓🥓

Today my husband asked me for a dish that he loves very much, pasta with leeks and bacon and I obliged. It's a simple recipe and quite popular in the winter or fall months.

It can be made with various types of pasta, the most recommended are penne, tortiglioni or fusilli.

For this recipe you will need:

  • 150 grams of pasta to taste
  • 1 large leek
  • 90 grams of diced bacon
  • 1 meat bouillon cube
  • 2 tablespoons of salt
  • 3 tablespoons black pepper

First we take care of the leek, we wash it well and then we remove the bottom by cutting the roots and cut the white onion into fine slices, we don't even waste the green stem that we cut, first eliminating the hardest external leaves, up to half. Nothing is thrown away in the kitchen!

Para esta receta necesitarás:

Cook the leeks and bacon for about ten minutes until the fat melts and the bacon has a darker, crunchier color. When the broth boils, throw in the pasta and let it cook for the time written on the package. When it is ready, drain it and add the contents of the pan to a pot with the pasta. Heat the contents of the pan for a few minutes, stirring vigorously so that the bacon and leeks mix it into the pasta and add the pepper, stirring constantly! Then our tasty pasta will be ready to taste, a simple dish, quite economical and very tasty!
