Some time ago my husband and I went on a trip to Barga, where by chance we came across this nice restaurant for families and workers, we stopped there to eat and a few weeks ago when the weather was still good we went back, but not to travel, we specifically went to eat in Barga at Bella e Pronta sas. Like the first time, the place struck us with its simplicity and the simple ways of the owner and waiters. The restaurant has an internal and an external area where you can sit, it is convenient to get there also because it is located right in front of Barga station and has a large car park. As soon as we arrived they remembered us, how nice! Because my husband, who has a stomach the size of a house, had ordered three pizzas just for him and he ate them all, this time he only got two which are still a lot and then he complains that he's gaining weight!
In this place they not only make pizzas and their pizza menu is really vast with pizzas of all types from the most classic to the most particular ones such as porchetta or prawns, but they also have a vast choice of first and second courses and side dishes.
First courses such as various types of pasta, lasagne and hot or cold rice and second courses of meat and fish, pork loin, roast meat, rolle, mackerel, cod, cod fillet with a wide variety of vegetable side dishes, boiled courgettes, baked vegetables, vegetables, carrots, aubergines with sauce etc...
For me, I ordered the simple cod with baked potatoes and boiled courgettes, practically a dietary meal which is not typical for me but which I really liked, the cod was really delicate and tender, also because I rarely eat fish at home since my husband doesn't he eats it, but he didn't deny it and to make himself known as always he ordered two pizzas, a very tasty marinara (I tasted a small piece) and a speck and mascarpone which is his favorite topping, he assured me that they were both excellent and with a good dough and he knows it!
We accompanied our meal with two classic Italian beers, Moretti, with a simple and light taste. In short, if you happen to be in Barga and want to eat well and spend the right amount (our total with coffee was 34 euros) I highly recommend this place!!
