Long week.. Sunday.. Getting up late.. Lazy and chilled.. These are the factors that'll lead you to one thing.. You know it... BRUNCH! I got a chance to get brunch, which I had to say was in FOREVER. This time is the day and I'm not gonna miss this chance to write about it.
Join me at the brunch place in Bangkok, Thailand, called "Yellow Lane", where they claimed their place as "a restaurant, hidden away from the draining hustle and bustle of Bangkok in Ari" The place is located in the Ari area. (Sounds like a tongue twister huh?) We took a car there and still, we were lost in the alley. Turns out that the restaurant is in a hip little community with a couple of stores and food places. Actually a nice and cool area with lots of trees, which is great for Bangkok. Too many cars and never enough trees, I've always said.

Here we found the brunch place.
All the (food) places are located in the area. The "screamy" sounded nice, maybe I'll visit them after the brunch.
Here's how the place looks inside. Quite modern and smaller than I thought really. Here's the bar area with the self-service water infused with lemon zone.
They also offered room-temperature drinking water in a bottle.
At the bar, they showed some baked goods and fresh juice.
Now, let's move on to the Food! Starts with refreshing drinks. This one is "Lychee Italian Soda". The good thing about Italian Soda is that it's easy to drink and soda just gives you that wake-up feeling.
I ordered "Pineapple Passionfruit Mango smoothies" I actually like this one better than the lychee Italian soda one. Because it's just too early for the soda for me, I think.
Here are the drinks next to each other and yes, I mixed the soda. That's why it looks brighter and pinker.
Then we got our starters, The bread with mushroom paste with onion jam and walnuts?
Our first main dish is called "Biiig Brekkie", and it honestly lives up to its name. The plate is enormous! It looks so delicious both in the picture and in real life! I swear. The sausage was kinda meh though unfortunately.
Scrambled eggs, bread, golden potato fries, bacon, sausages, tomato, and Mexican chili.
Our second main brunch is "Brunch Plate". From the left are tomato salsa and avocado on sourdough and poached egg.
Gravlax beetroot salmon here with guacamole. The babaganoush, oat, and chia pudding, and a side Rocket salad.
My overall opinion about this place is I love how photogenic the food is. Every picture we took just looks so good. That means the food is colorful and well-placed on the plate. Yellow Lane has this concept of using healthy and good kinds of stuff to make so I felt good eating them.
In terms of taste, though, I'm not that impressed. But that doesn't mean that it tastes bad or anything. It was just normal nothing too special from other places. The starters aka the bread with the mushroom paste, that one is really good and I'm surprised at how good it tastes. But the main dishes are normal. Well, too normal for me.
Also, we sat outside in the garden. It wasn't hot but it's a little uncomfortable with the small table. The reason we sat outside was because the seats inside were on the big table, which did not give me privacy on the meal, how I'd preferred it. Another thing that I noticed is other tables were talking so loud. Kinda makes us a little uncomfortable there. But maybe it was just not so great luck for us.
So overall, nice place, with beautiful food, ok taste, and kinda of weird vibe overall. Going there again? Hmm maybe but not so soon.. Just like "Gimpo".

I love this place and even more so just cause they accept QR from my bank π but the coffee from there is definitely good and def hidden place. Love the forest-like outdoor area too.
