I don't normally eat Thai food, even though I'm Thai. I know that could sound kinda weird, but that's just how I am. I only get Thai food when I have to. Actually when I say "Thai food", I mean central Thai food. Because I love Northern Thai food though.
Anyway, that day we got the chance of getting central Thai food at this place called "S&P". They served Thai food and lately also Thai fusion food. Since I was a kid, I knew about it. And we went to there a lot too. S&P has lots of franchises throughout Thailand. They're a pretty big and successful Thai company.

They opened since 1973 and they're aspired "To be the most preferred Thai restaurant, cake, and bakery brand in Thailand." And I'm gonna show you what we ordered and how it looked like. Moreover I'm gonna show you the 'advertised photo' and the 'real life photo' so you can play spot the difference. Just for fun.
Disclaimer: Thai food doesn't do "courses", so we just ordered and eat everything together at the same time. Yes, there are desserts, but we don't usually do "appetizers".
The first one is Savoury Grilled Chicken with Quinoa Sticky Rice. I actually like the chicken. It might be a little bland, but that's why we eat with the "Jeaw" sauce on the left of the picture. What I like, though, is the quinoa sticky rice. I love sticky rice and when it's added with Quinoa. Just makes me feel healthier.
Next one is Rice with Roast Chicken. This dish has been a signature dish for S&P for so long. Personally I didn't like this dish much, because it's too much chicken meat for me. And the sauce is kinda not get along with my tongue somehow. I've tried this dish so many times and I still feel the same. And the funny thing is I don't wanna give up on it. I want to try until I like it. So, I guess either I trained myself to like it or they change their recipe to my liking. That's should be when it happens. haha
Next is Fried Glass Noodle with Salted-Egg. I always love glass noodles. And I wanna try S&P glass noodle today and it was ok.. It wasn't disappointing but it's normal.
The forth one is Fried Eggs with Caramelized Crispy Tamarind sauce. This dish is actually a spin-off from the common Thai dish called "Khai Look Koey" or "Egg with Tamarind Sauce" in English. I like the sauce. They did it nicely.
This one I forgot to take the photo when it first arrives so it looks like this.
That's all the food we got that day and we were having a nice time there. The food was ok and it wasn't too expensive. So would I come again? yes because there're so many other menu items that I wanna try.
All the advertised photos come from their original website, which you can check them out. All the menus and where the places located. S&P website
And that's it for today's post. Thank you for coming by and see you around. And don't forget to...
Stay hungry and get some Thai food!
Khob khun kaa,
Nomnomnoodle 🍜
Of all the listed foods, rice and roasted chicken is my favourite. Rice will give carbohydrates which chicken is protein.
Thanks for sharing

The fried eggs in tamarind sauce got me curious on its taste. Might have to find a legit thai restaurant here in the ph to check it out.
It‘s very thai indeed. If I would describe it, it‘d be like a sweet thick sauce almost like caramelize but not dessert. 😅 Hope when you get to try it you‘ll agree.
These are really nice and tasty delicacies
indeed!
Hahaha. I enjoyed the comparison between the advertisement shots and the actual ones. Look how engaging their pictures are. But still, it's not that different. 😊
Yea! They did actually quite good job. And it‘s definitely the lighting and my old phone too. 😅😅
The fried Glass Noodle with Salted-Egg would be something I know I would love.
It‘s a nice dish. I would love it a bit more if the glass noodle would be thicker haha
