In Serbia, there were several types of cereals and fruits such as: wheat, corn, rye, oats, barley, apple, pear, blackberry, strawberry.
The daily diet of rural families was based on dairy products, eggs and vegetables.
Today’s recipe I prepared for you is polenta.
Polenta is one healthy meal, it is a meal made from white or yellow corn grits.
Its composition contains a lot of minerals and natural fats, which enable healthy and good digestion of food, which enables the removal of excess weight.
Very healthy and tasty, polenta is very easy to prepare and can be consumed in various ways in combination with various foods.
INGREDIENTS:
1 liter of water
a teaspoon of salt
corn flour as needed
150 grams of bacon
cheese, milk (from the side dish you want)
PREPARATION:
put water in the pot in which you planned to cook, add a teaspoon of salt and let the water boil.
when the water starts to boil, gradually add the cornflour and stir constantly so that no lumps form.
When the mass gets thick, let it boil a little more, and then remove it from the hob, the polenta is ready.
Put thinly sliced bacon in the pan, without fat, because it will release its fat, and fry it to be crispy.
The most important thing about this dish is the fact that polenta does not contain gluten and can be consumed by anyone regardless of age.
Simple, fast and very healthy.
