But is bread really as bad a diet as some people think it is?
I don't think so, whole grain bread is rich in flavors and minerals and vitamins, you can't get a lot of kilograms from a moderate amount of bread, but if you want to eat a sandwich with various other caloric supplements, it can affect kilograms.
Bread is a food that is produced and consumed everywhere in the world, regardless of the culture, which proves that it is more than food.
Today, most women have less and less time to knead bread, but they buy it and think that it is okay due to obligations and lack of time, because the preparation of bread requires a certain amount of time to prepare. Personally, whenever I get the chance, I like to make homemade bread because the preparation itself has a special charm, but also an advantage because I know which ingredients I used.
INGREDIENTS:
- 300 ml milk
- 600 gr flour
- 25 gr of yeast
- 50 ml of oil
- large spoonful of sugar
- one egg
- teaspoon of salt
- 50 gr of butter
- oregano, sesame (or whatever you like)
PREPARATION:
In a deep bowl, grind the yeast, add lukewarm milk over the yeast, stir and add a spoonful of sugar.
Add about 100 grams of flour to the mixture, stirring gently, so that no lumps remain, then cover with a clean cloth and leave to stand for about 15 minutes.
When the yeast dissolves well in the mixture and rises, add oil, salt and the rest of the flour and knead the dough, the dough should not be too hard, leave it to rest and rise for about half an hour.
When the dough has risen, line the pan with baking paper and then shape the dough into a circle with your hands.
Then, on the dough, make decorative cubes with a pizza knife, beat the egg well and coat the bread.
Then cut the butter into small cubes by placing a piece of butter in each cube, and sprinkle it with oregano, sesame or to your taste.
Turn the oven to 200 degrees and bake the bread for 20 to 30 minutes to get a nice golden color.
Butter and oregano give it a great taste and it is really soft inside and crunchy on top.
