Good day dear friends, I want to talk a little on how to prepare plantain flour an also talks about it health benefits.
What is plantain flow (Amala)?
Plantain flour is a product off unripe green plantain..
It is our local indigenous Nigerian food popularly know as Amala(swallow) it's can be used with any type of soup I love it most when it is served with "egusi" soup ( Melon soup).
It's health benefits
It is an healthy food that helps in reducing high cholesterol and control blood sugar .
It is very good for a diabetic patient.
It is very rich in iron.
It contains vitamin A c and B6.
It contains ascorbic acid etc.
The easiest way I prepares it
First I will take a portion of it and pour it in my cooking pot and add the required amount of room temperature water in it.with my wooden spoon I turn it for proper mixture.
After thorough mixing I put it on the fire, with my wooden spoon I continue turning it on the fire after about 10 minutes later it's well cooked, I take it of the fire.
