It's a day or two after I learned about my thyroid cancer that I visited this coffee shop. We were on a field work in our Cagayan de Oro City Office.
After work, we were roaming around Centrio Mall, an Ayala Mall. It happened to be less than 5-minute walk from where we're staying. Our hotel's location was perfect as the SM Mall where we ate Boteyju was also a quick walk away.
Life is about balance; I was eyeing to get a frappe but don't what to spend all my travel allowance in one go. What we did was eat in CDO's version of pungko-pungko just across Centrio and looked for dessert, an expensive one, elsewhere.

Before finding this coffee shop, we roamed around Centrio Mall. It wasn't my first time in Centrio; I've been here countless times in the past but I wanted to tour it again as the years most likely brought about changes in this very small mall in Cagayan. And I was right, new shopping and food stalls opened left and right. We were about to go home when we came across Apostrophe. The idea of getting dessert re-energized our mind and body. We decided to go back to our hotel and get our laptops; it'd be nice to stay productive while staying in this cafe.
Be warned that the cashier isn't the friendliest tho. Still, we decided to spend time here until closing time to destress.
You will be welcomed with a cozy atmosphere with a hint of boho interior design style. To be honest, a lot was happening inside the small coffee shop but I'd say it was somehow neatly tied together.
On one side of the coffee shop, the brick wall was painted in all white and adorned with wooden frames in varying designs and sizes; on the opposite side, the wall was covered with a mirror from end to end. Pots filled with artificial plants were hanging in almost all sides of the wall. I'm not convinced of the beauty these hanging pots were supposed to add, they're an eyesore for me. Simplicity would've elevated the space.
In the first half of our stay, the cafe was jampacked; a taletell that this cafe has become a favorite spot for meet-ups either for work or friends get-together. An hour away from closing time, we were the only customers inside. This gave us an opportunity to take a lot of crowd-free photos to share here with you.
I ordered a chocolate blended drink. I've tried chocolate drinks from all over the Philippines but the one that I got in Apostrophe Cafe didn't disappoint. It has the right blend of sweetness and creaminess that I look for in a dark chocolate blended drink. We stayed until it's closing time, making the most of our stay for the next trip is still too far away.
