Hiya Foodies!

Here’s a lovely dish from the Himalayas!

Been a long since I have posted some foodie stuff over here, So this Sunday I am back with a sunday recipe post and today I will be cooking some of the best tasting spring-rolls of the Himalayas. So this weekend I along with my mother learned this special recipe about this Appetizer r Spring-Rolls which is referred as a great Appetizer in the south Asian region.

So here we go....

Step 1 :

The first and the most important step for making these yummy Spring Rolls in to form a perfect doe for it.

Steps for prepration of Doe which is perfect for the preparation of Spring-Rolls .

a). Add a bit of water along with floor to make a perfect Doe. Just a tiny bit of water just to moisturise the floor and make it sticky and fluffy.

b). Now add a pinch of salt to the doe. Just a pinch guys otherwise the floor will become salty. It’s not compulsory to add salt to the doe only add if you like it a bit salty.

c).Now its time to add a little bit of olive oil or butter or clarified butter as per your choice. It should also be in a little quantity.

Step 2 :

When the Doe is ready now its the time for making tiny little round balls of the Doe which was prepared by you with the help of instructions provided in Step 1.

After prepration of round Balls from Prepared doe its time to make a little Base for Spring rolls. A one round Ball will prepare a whole slice of spring roll.

Step 3:

a). This step of preparation has all the recipe guys. Not it’s time to boil the instant noodles on another utensil. Boil the noodle for about a minute or two until it becomes perfectly cooked.

b).The next step is to add a bit of mashed onion into the noodles.

c). Add a bit of mashed cauliflower into the noodles and stir well. You can also add a bit of oregano and other herbs of your choice and your taste preference. I have added two or three leves of mint as far as I remember.

Stir well so that everything mixes us properly with each other

Step 4:

Now Its the time to show your chef Skills

This is the process when you’ll need to add the stuff to the Doe Base which you prepared in Step 2.

All the stuffing should be inside the Base properly in order to form them into the perfect rolls.

IMG_3933 2.jpg

The Flour Base should also be packed in the end as shown in the picture that how is it rolled and packed. Thats the hardest part of the recipe to properly add stuffing inside the Base.

All of them were tightly packed and were ready for the Step 5.

Step 5:

It’s time to Steem them up. Its really very important to steam the rolls up in order to make them yummy and diffrent from other Chinese dishes. So we have to steam these rolls up for the time as required by them. The time can me denoted by checking the rolls after every 5 minutes from when they were kept for stemming.

Step 6:

So it’s the last step guys and you are just a minute away from having those tasty Himalayan Spring-rolls right in front of you.

So this process includes frying of the steamed rolls for making them crunchy and tasty.

You can shallow fry them using the frying oil with which you are comfortable with. Note only add rolls to the oil when the oil is really hot and ready for frying. A tip is to first heat the oil for about 5 minutes in order to make the frying process quick and successful.

When the fried rolls are ready its time to cut them into pieces using knife ans shown in the picture and add a pinch of black salt of Chat Masala ie. Indian Spices if desired.

Heres the final result Spring rolls with tomato sauce.
