Wishing a wonderful day to all my dear friends! How are you all doing? Today has been a busy one for me, as I had to attend to a few tasks for my child’s school. By lunchtime, I realized I didn’t have any fresh vegetables at home, but luckily, I had a packet of noodles I bought from the store. I decided to prepare a delicious and unique recipe with it.
Noodles are a well-known dish for almost everyone, and often, they're made in the same way. So, today, I’m sharing a recipe that’s easy to make, especially when you’re low on vegetables, and it’s perfect to serve alongside rice as a tasty change of pace. This noodle curry is a flavorful alternative to the usual dishes. Let’s see how it’s made!
Materials Used.
Noodles 73g.
1/2 Cup of coconut milk.
2 Tablespoon of coconut oil.
1 Cup of water.
1/4 Teaspoon of Mustard seed.
1/4 Teaspoon of Fenugreek.
1 Teaspoon of chili powder.
1 Teaspoon of curry powder.
1/2 Teaspoon of turmeric powder.
Salt as needed.
1 Finely chopped onion.
Curry leaves.
About a green chillies, finely chopped.
A chopped tomato.
About 3 cloves of crushed garlic.
A piece of cinnamon.
The cooking process as follows.
Now, let’s get ready to prepare this delicious noodle curry! First, take the packet of noodles and place it in a bowl. Break the noodles into smaller pieces to make it easier to cook and mix later.
Next, place a pan on the stove and add about 2 tablespoons of coconut oil. Once the oil is heated, add the chopped garlic and sauté until golden brown. Then, add mustard seeds, fenugreek, and a small stick of cinnamon. Stir everything well to combine, allowing the spices to release their aromas and infuse the oil. This fragrant mixture will create a flavorful base for your noodle curry.
Next, add the chopped onions and sauté for about a minute, stirring well to ensure even cooking. Then, add the curry leaves, green chilies, and tomatoes, mixing thoroughly. Continue to stir everything together until the tomatoes start to soften, allowing the flavors to blend .
Now, add the chili powder, turmeric powder, and curry powder, and let it cook briefly, allowing the spices to release their flavors. Next, add the broken-up noodles along with a cup of water. Season with salt to taste, mixing everything well. Let it simmer for about 7 minutes, stirring occasionally to ensure the noodles cook evenly and absorb the spices.
Next, once the water has reduced and the mixture has thickened, add the thick coconut milk. Let it simmer gently until the coconut milk is well incorporated and heated through. Once the curry has reached the desired consistency, remove it from the heat.
Now, this delicious noodle curry is complete! It’s a unique taste and a refreshing experience. This flavorful curry pairs well with rice or bread, making it versatile for any meal. I feel like this is something new and exciting to try. Isn’t it nice to know that, even when there’s not much to cook at home, you can create a delicious curry with simple ingredients like this?
