Good day to all of my hive family, I know life is getting hard but always remember to ask for guidance from God. For today's blog, allow me to share with you all my experiences in school. Last week, on April 22, 2024, our subject teacher in entrepreneurship gave us a project related to business. The project was to make a dessert and sell it to all the students at CTU or Cebu Technological University. After receiving the instructions, we made a plan on what dessert to sell. We wanted it to be easy to sell so that it would quickly run out. That's why we discussed and decided on a dessert that would be very popular among the students.
After two days of planning, we decided to make a jelly cake. We saw the recipe on TikTok, and it was affordable, so we decided to cook it. Before we started cooking, we bought all the ingredients needed for the jelly cake dessert. We contributed 30 pesos for the ingredients as they were very affordable and could be easily made at home.
INGREDIENTS:
- Fudgee Bar (8 pieces)
- Eggs (3 eggs)
- Unflavored jelly powder (24g)
- 2 cans of Kremdensada
On April 23, 2024, our professor in entrepreneurship informed us that we could start cooking in the school kitchen. We have a kitchen where students can prepare their products. It was 10:30 AM when we began cooking. Our group consists of 7 members. Three of us were in charge of cooking the jelly powder, while the other four were responsible for crushing the fudge bars and flattening them. Once we were all ready, we started cooking.
1ST STEP
- CRUSH THE FUDGEE BAR
2ND STEP
- Crack the egg and prepare the kremdensada, then mix them in a bowl.
3RD STEP
- Dissolve the jelly powder in a cup to make it smooth. Then, cook it without letting it become too thick. Once it's ready and heated, add the mixture of condensed milk and egg to the jelly.
4TH STEP
- After adding the mixture of condensed milk and egg to the jelly, mix everything well but do not overmix to prevent it from becoming too thick. Then, pour the mixture into cupcake liners or baking cups that have been lined with flattened fudge bars. Leave it for about 5 minutes to thicken.
After 5 minutes, the jelly cupcakes or jelly cakes are ready. We need to sell all of them to the students of CTU, and our goal is to sell all of our jelly cupcakes. But before we started selling the jelly cupcakes, we cleaned the kitchen to ensure that we could use it again next time. We made sure that we didn't leave any mess or dirt in the area we used before we left.
When the kitchen we used is already clean, we proceed to sell the jelly cake for only 10 pesos. The first person we sold it to was our math professor, and he said it was delicious, not too sweet, just right. We were very happy with his feedback, so we became confident that our product would sell well. Next, we sold it to the students, although some declined because they didn't have money, especially college students. But most of them bought it, especially the other professors, so it did not take long for our jelly cake to sell out, and we made a profit.
My day ended with a blessed day because our product sold out even on the first try. We didn't even practice beforehand, but we cooked it right away. That's why I am very thankful to God because our jelly cake sold out. It's not my first time baking, but it's my first time making a jelly cake, and it was really enjoyable. I also learned how important confidence is, especially in selling. If you feel hesitant, your products won't sell out, so you need to have strategies.
That would be all for today. I hope you enjoyed reading my blog. Your votes, reblogs, and comments are much appreciated. See you on my next blog. Thank you, and God bless.
