Sunday night is steak night. I broiled Sirloin for my husband and me, served with baked potatoes and steamed collard greens with butter and salt.
I bought half a side of beef with the stimulus checks the government so kindly handed out to all us American citizens. I wish I were one of those giant corporations that received billions. I could have bought a cattle ranch and a meat processing plant too. The farmers are still growing their products but have a hard time processing and shipping. The meat processors are owned by a few giant corporations and keep shutting down because of covid, which puts the ranchers in a financial bind. Some farmers saw this monopoly coming and have their locally-owned meat processing and have developed a network of individual and small business clients.
I've decided to buy local the meat was more expensive last year than grocery store meat, but grass-fed beef is tasty. When we compare our grass-fed beef to store-bought, store-bought has no taste at all. It's so weird like it's not meat. Added bonus grocery store meat prices have gone up, but our local ranchers' beef prices have stayed the same.
BF farm delivers to our doorstep as well. You get to know the family too. The Son-in-law does the marketing and driving, and Grandma takes the orders. I feel like they are like family. If you can buy locally, and when the shipping and manufacturing grids go down, you can still buy your food.

We are both healthy and happy thank you. My husband and I are well prepared for the dark winter. I haven't been sick for almost two years not even a runny nose. I think we are healthy because we eat organic foods and don't eat a lot of sugary fake foods. Wishing you and yours stay fit and happy too❤️
Covid-19 has able to shut down lots of business too like those many small and medium firm, meat always good which cattle is feed mainly on grass depended and you have chosen the right type. Hope you will help them just buying at the locally which found near about you.
