Last week, after exploring the Shmanto Shombhar mall and shopping, I found the small food area on the ground floor. The mall had a dedicated food court, but I was too tired to go upstairs again. Moreover, the court was too crowded, I had to wait for my food to arrive, and I was already late.
So these small stalls saved me.
Let me show you what I brought back home.
There were so many options in the small stores, each offering something tempting. I had no intention of taking it away, but as it was already late, I decided it was better to enjoy the food at home after freshening up from the long outing day.
The bakery shops looked so lucrative. Look at the color combination. The slices were also not too highly-priced. I couldn't resist but take a slice of lemon cake. My son had a chocolate one at the mall too.
And for the mains, the freshly prepared sub and nachos seemed great. Although the aroma was enough to make me want to dig in right there, I decided to save the experience for home.
Once we got back home and I unpacked the takeaway, the food was just as delicious as I had hoped. The sub was good but as expected the nachos became a little soggy. But with bursting spices and mayonnaise, it was not that bad.
The sub was 200 taka (around $2.5), the Mexican nachos were 220 taka (around 2.80), and the lemon cake was 140 taka per slice (around $1.20). The prices were reasonable, I believe.
It was the ideal way to unwind after the day’s shopping.
What I loved most was how the entire day came together—a little retail therapy, some casual small shopping, and finally, enjoying a tasty meal in the comfort of my own home.
It always feels nice to have a treat after a long day, right? It may not sound much. But in between urban chaotic life, it was like a pause to enjoy daily life.
All of the foods in pictures looking delicious. But I think I wouldn't take such kind of food naturally. I prefer those in rare cases because of health concerning issues.
