A Cup of Coffee Over The Sea

Hi everyone, thanks for dropping by, today I am going to share with you about the time I drank a coffee cup on the boat from Tanjungpinang to Batam.

At that time, my work schedule got canceled because there is a slight change on the situation. It’s mean that I get a lot of free time before my next work schedule on Depok, West Java.

A sudden change in the schedule sometimes could lead to other plans falling apart. So I make a quick decision to speed up the last plan that I have which is “Going to Medan to meet certain someone”

I call her, and I set the date and time that my plane landing at Kualanamu International Airport. My trip starts at 9 am in Sri Bintan Pura Port at Tanjungpinang, there are not many people at the port so when I am buying the ticket there is no delay or a long queue at the port.

There is not much choice when you use the speedboat. So after waiting about 5 minutes, my speedboat is already docked, so I enter the speedboat and right after I enter the boat I saw a basket full of the bottle of mineral water and I ask the ship attendant “is the mineral water for sale?” and he says “yes”. I went pick one bottle of mineral water that cost IDR 5K, and I gave him a 10K IDR note, and he says there’s no change money, and I say it’s okay just give me a cup of Coffee Milk, and he agrees but he says that I have to wait for a while until the Coffee delivered to me.

I don’t like to sit in the passenger seat on the boat because I can’t stand the Air Conditioner, it’s better to sit at the back because you can feel the fresh air in the sea.

At that time the seawater was receding, so the view is not that good because the water doesn’t look clean and I just take a few pictures of the water.

The ship has left the dock and finally, my coffee has arrived. The coffee is still hot inside the cup, so it’s a perfect combination with the sea breeze. Hot coffee and the sea breeze are like Romeo and Juliet.

The coffee is not the same as the one you can get in the cafe, this coffee is just a coffee sachet that you can buy at a local shop in Indonesia, but sadly I can’t tell the coffee brand from the taste.

The cup is made from styrofoam so you can dispose of it right after you finish drinking the coffee. But remember throw the garbage in its place. Don’t throw it over the sea, it’s not good for the environment. And believe me sooner or later the thing you throw out to the sea is will be back to the mainland sooner or later.

It took about 45 minutes to arrive at the Punggur Port of Batam, Kepulauan Riau. So this story will end here,
Here some photos of the Punggur Port. Hope you like it
