Hi everyone, it’s been a long time since my last post. There’s so much work to do so I cant post often, sorry for that.
My sleep schedule is a mess since early Ramadhan, I stay up late and in the morning I started to sleep until noon so I usually ate twice a day.
Staying in front of the computer for at least 12 hours a day, doing the client order is tiring but I love it, I’ve been doing it since 2014 so I am already accustomed to it.
Last night, there’s nothing to eat so I decided to open my Gojek’s App but after some time I close it and take my motorbike and went out looking for food, I don’t know the last time I went out of the house, maybe about 1 week or more so I surprised myself to see too much crowd and its uncomfortable for me to drive my bike when looking for a food stall.
After a while I’ve I decided to stop at the local Satay stall. For your information, in my city, there are several kinds of satay like Madura Satay, Padang Satay, Banjar Satay, etc.
This time I stop at the Madura Satay Stall about 5 km from home. This satay stall is established for almost 10 years as far I can remember since I moved here, this satay stall is already here.
The stall is still using the old local food stall, with no wall at all, they just use a tin roof to separate with the other food stall next to it because it is still on the same roof.
There are two kinds of meat they use to make the satay, first is chicken meat and the second is goat meat and for the sauce, they use peanut sauce or just soy sauce depends on the customer’s order.
I ate chicken at least 3 days a week, so this night I want to try the goat meat, I ordered it on the server, and find a table for me to wait for the satay ready to serve.
At this place, they grill the meat for satay at the same place, so the mat is still hot or warm and you can order if you want the meat to be half-baked or well-cooked because for some people they like to eat half-baked grilled goat milk.
Using the iron grill that they made and with coconut shell as the combustion material and with the traditional bamboo fan to raise the temperature and for some time the fan can be used to put out the fire. On making satay, you don’t need a fire to grill it, just a hot temperature from the burning charcoal or coconut shell.
Because they already have lots of customers before me, I have to wait a bit longer, can’t help it.
The waiter serves the food on ceramic plates sponsored by one of the soy sauce brands in Indonesia.
One portion of the satay contains ten stitches of goat milk, few slices of tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion with some peanut sauce over it.
They already provided the chili sauce in case you want the peanut sauce to be spicy enough. Don’t put too much, if it is too spicy you cant enjoy the food well.
Even if this satay stall is not using the good building or house, the taste is good that’s why people love to wait for the order even if they have to wait for their order.
Even if the taste is good, the price is not high. For one portion of the goat, satay is costs IDR 20000 and IDR 15000 for the chicken satay. Cheap price for the good food.
I highly recommend you to this Satay stall, you will not get disappointed by the taste, and it not cost much.
