It’s been almost a month since I come back home, miss it for sure. I just live with my luggage, my backpack, and my small sling bag. It’s been a while since I taste my mom’s food, it’s been a while since I cook my own meal, kinda miss it.
This day I finished my job schedule and I got permission to go back to my city. I took a train from Depok to Manggarai, and transferred to Soekarno Hatta International Airport using a train and shuttle bus to Terminal 3.
Checked in at capsule hotel and put all my belongings in the locker, I went outside to find covid-19 test as a flight requirement in my country.
After getting the negative result I walk for a while to find something to eat, and finally, I decided to stop at LAUTAGE Resto.
It’s located on the third floor of Terminal 3 Soekarno Hatta International Airport, near gate 5. You can reach it by walking or using the elevator.
There are many choices of food available on the menu, but sadly they don’t have much left, because they almost closed. I ordered 1 portion of Hainanese Chicken Rice with extra chili sambal and a cup of tea.
The will be closed after 30 minutes, so there are not many people coming to order food here and the airport is not as crowded as day.
My food comes faster than I expected because they already grill the chicken, so they just need some time to prepare the order, it didn’t even take 10 minutes before the food arrives
Even though it’s almost midnight, the food still looks good and fresh. Especially the broth, taste so good and fresh. You don’t need to put sauce or anything else on the broth, just need to drink it right away.
They are using seasoned rice instead of regular rice, so I don’t think that all people love the taste of the rice, so if you can’t handle it try to mix it with the broth, it will help you a lot.
The chicken looks good and well cooked. But the taste is a bit different. It’s still edible but there is something that makes you cant enjoy the chicken 100%, but it’s normal. The shop is almost closed and I came at the last minute, so I won’t argue or complain about it.
Even if the chicken taste is a bit bad, but the chili helps it a lot. It covers the chicken taste and helps me a lot enjoying the food until I finished it.
After the food is finished, I drink the hot tea that I ordered before. It’s helped me relaxed my body and my mind after a tiring trip from Depok to the Airport.
The food is done, it’s time to go back to the hotel room. But before that don’t forget to pay for what you order before you leave the restaurant.
For 1 portion Hainanese Chicken Rice and 1 Cup of Hot Tea cost about IDR 90.000. It's normal price because it's in Airport, the tax here is big.
