Yo guys, if this is the first time you were here i said welcome to my Hive Blog, i often write about my food travel experience and programming experience

This time i want to share about my food experience at Bali in December last year. Going to Bali has been my long wish since I was child. When I was young, I often watched television and heard about Bali, such a beautiful place but for a child maybe it's just a dream, because I was born poor and it makes me set aside my plan to visit Bali.

This year is my 28 since I was born, and this year I traveled a lot from Sumatera Island to Papua Island. Last november i got a call from my boss and it made me happy and a little bit sad. My boss told me to go to Bali to do some work there for a few days, but the one thing that makes me sad is that it takes about 20 years for my dream to come true.

My flight to Bali is not from my City, Pekanbaru. I started the flight from Halim Perdana Kusuma International Airport because I just finished my job at Bekasi city for a few days. Before the flight I took an antigen test because it was needed for anybody to fly. Sadly my flight got delayed because the plane got delayed on the previous flight.

I landed in Bali at almost 9 PM, and my team was already waiting there to take me to the Klungkung Regency. I got a good rest until the morning came. Long story short, I finished the job there and I called my boss to get 2 days off so I can travel around Bali for a bit.

I remembered that I got 1 friend on DOTA2 Games. Some days ago he said to tell him i went to Bali, so i called him and the next day he came to pick me up at PrimeBiz Hotel Kuta with his motorbike. The weather was good that morning so we started the journey to Kintamani District.

On the way to Kintamani District, we struggled a little bit to find Halal food for me for breakfast that morning, because the hotel was not providing the breakfast. So he took me to the “Nasi Ayam Kedewatan Ibu Mangku” or Chicken Rice Kedewatan Mother Mangku

Nasi Ayam Kedewatan Ibu Mangku is located at Jl. Raya Kedewatan No 18 Kedewatan in Ubud District, you need to slow down your car or bike or you can miss this place.

The store is like most traditional houses in Bali, small from the outside but spacious on the inside. There's one or two tables on almost every cottage that called "Bale Dangin" so you can choose wherever you want.

While the server handed the menu and read it for a while I ordered the special menu on this store which is “Nasi Ayam Kedewatan Spesial” or “Kedewatan Chicken Rice Special” and one glass of Hot Tea.

The food came in about 10 minutes because that morning the store was almost full and luckily we still got the table for us.

The main menu is consist of A scoop of steamed white rice, includes Ayam Betutu (a la ‘Kedewatan’ herbs chicken), minced chicken satay, shredded chicken with spicy red sauce, steamed tea egg, steamed vegetables mixed with seasoned and spiced grated coconut, peanut, dry fry chicken, chopped chili condiment, a la ‘Kedewatan’ chicken gravy.

The food is halal so if you are a muslim, this places is highly recomended for you if you ever travel here. The price is cheap for 2 portions, it just cost us about 80K Indonesian Rupiah. A fair price for the cleanliness and the deliciousness of the menu.

The food is not spicy but if you love spicy food, just eat the ingredient with some chopped chili condiment, trust me even though it's not much it will burn your mouth with spiciness.

The steamed rice is a bit dry, so for me I need to mix it with the chicken gravy because I prefer steamer rice over the dry one.

Beware of the satay skewer, because it is made from bamboo and sometimes it is sharp enough to hurt your mouth. So it's better to fill the satay with a fork or spoon, it's better safe than sorry.

Thanks for coming here and reading this post, stay safe guys, and see you on the next post.
