Best Buffet Reco - Flechazo

Greetings!
I'm back to share another delightful culinary adventure in the vibrant city of Bengaluru, India.
Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at a newly opened buffet restaurant that offers a unique fusion of "MeditterAsian" cuisine, which essentially blends the flavors of Mediterranean dishes with an Asian twist.

The buffet at this restaurant ranges from INR 699 (8.55 USD) to INR 899 (10.99 USD), depending on the day of your visit and whether you prefer vegetarian or non-vegetarian options. With over 130 delectable items to choose from, we were already satisfied after indulging in the starters, soup, and various open counters. We were so full that we decided to skip the main course and headed straight to the dessert section because, let's be honest, who can resist dessert? xD

Ambience
The venue is generously spacious, embellished with vibrant lights and brightly colored furnishings, exuding an elegant and refined ambiance.

DIY Pizza
This establishment offers a distinctive concept of creating your own pizza, where you get to don a chef's hat and apron for an immersive experience of baking your own pizza. The chef provides expert guidance throughout the process as you select your desired toppings and prepare them to your liking. Upon completion, you receive a well-deserved Master Chef certificate as a token of your culinary achievement. Undoubtedly, this was an enjoyable and entertaining experience.

Chaat Counter

Chaats are a popular selection of savory snacks in India. This buffet presents an array of chaats, including Pani Puri, Dahi Papdi Chat, Italian Corn Bursts in Pani Puri Cups, Chinese Bhel, Dahi Puri, Nachos Chat, Palak Patta Papdi Chat, Sev Puri, Bhel Puri, Corn Pani Puri with Orange Coulee, and Prawn Pani Puri with Orange Coulee.

We went for the Dahi Puri and the Prawn Pani Puri with Orange Coulee. The Prawn Pani Puri was particularly unique, as it introduced seafood into the traditional Chaat experience, a novelty we hadn't encountered before. It was an intriguing and enjoyable culinary adventure for sure.

Sushi
As someone who loves sushi, I was pleased to discover that this restaurant is among the limited options in Bangalore that offer sushi on their buffet. They featured Shrimp Nigiri, Teriyaki Chicken Sushi, and Tamago Maki Roll. The sushi was decent in taste.

Breads & Pickles
The buffet offered a delightful assortment of three artisanal bread varieties that complement dishes like Pasta and other curries really well. Additionally, they provided two types of pickles - lime and mango, which are much cherished by us Indians and served as perfect accompaniments to our meals.

Mongolian Counter

At this counter, they offer a unique 'Make Your Own Dish' concept, allowing you to select from a diverse range of meats and seafood options, including Rabbit, Emu, Chicken, Mix Seafood, Steamed Fish, Boiled Egg, and Sautéed Prawns. You have the liberty to pair your chosen meat or seafood with exotic sauces such as Kung Pao, Konjeenaro, Garlic Pepper Sauce, or Schezwan Sauce. Additionally, you can opt for either rice or noodle starch to accompany your dish. To further customize your creation, a variety of veggies are available, such as Onion, Spicy Chillies, Mushroom, Green Peas, Carrot, Corn, Yellow Squash, Green Squash, Baby Corn, Cottage Cheese, and Bell Peppers.

During our visit, we decided to try Emu meat for the first time. We combined it with Schezwan Sauce, along with onions, chillies, tomatoes, and bell peppers. Though the meat was slightly chewy, it remarkably absorbed the flavors of the sauce and vegetables, creating a delectable and memorable culinary experience.

Soup
Flechazo offers two different types of soup - Creamy Italian Tomato Soup and the Celeriac & Chicken With Fried Kumara.

Salads & Curd Rice
The buffet offered a delightful selection of 8 different types of salads:
For vegetarians, there was the Fresh Garden Green Salad, Spicy American Corn Salad, Pineapple - Apple - Watermelon Salad With Mint Mayo, and Cottage Cheese Skewers With Leaf Parsley Drizzle.
For non-vegetarians, there were the Tandoori Kachumber, Smoked BBQ Chicken Salad With Asian Noodles, Basa Fish Salad With Tomato Salsa, and Iceberg Lettuce Shots With Devilled Shrimp.
Additionally, there was the option of Curd Rice available at the counter, adding to the variety of choices for guests to enjoy.

Starters & Mocktails
There were a total of 14 starters, and we opted for the non-vegetarian ones. For the vegetarian starters, they offered Jalapeno & Cottage Cheese Croquettes, Silken Tofu And Tri Bell Peppers In Kung Pao Sauce, Lasooni Pahadi Paneer Tikka, Carom Infused Tandoori Mushroom, Flechazo Style Cheesy Potato, Tangy Grilled Pineapple, Flechazo Style Crispy Corn, and Turkish Cheese Corn Roll.

As for the non-vegetarian starters, we indulged in Punjabi Murgh Tangdi, Satrangi Lamb Seekh Kebab, Hot Crispy Five Spice Prawns, Chermoula Paprika Grilled Fish, Classic Murgh Tikka, and BBQ Sweet Chili Wings.

In addition to the starters, we also ordered two mocktails, although these were not included in the buffet and were available as an additional option.

Main Course

The main course offered an enticing array of 12 dishes, including Burnt Garlic Noodles, Vegetable Manchurian, Crab Curry, Basa Fish In Green Thai Curry, Spinach and Cheese Ratatouille, Mushroom Babycorn Green Peas Nazakat, Dal Tadka, Shahi Paneer, Dal Makhni with Basmati Rice, Mutton Rogan Josh, and Murgh Makhanwala.

Moreover, they presented two tempting variations of Biriyani - Veg & Non-Veg Hyderabadi Dum Biriyani.

But as we were already quite full from the starters, we decided to dive straight into desserts. Looking back, I wish we had left some space to savor the mains, as they looked absolutely delicious.

Waffles

The buffet also featured a waffle counter, offering a choice between classic waffles and chocolate waffles, with the option to add toppings according to your preference. We decided to go with classic waffles, accompanied by a delectable combination of chocolate sauce and smooth vanilla ice cream. The waffles were decent.

Gulab Jamun & Moongdal Halwa
Now I am a huge fan of Gulab Jamoon. It is a Persian origin dish made with milk solids and sugar syrup. Moongdal Halwa is a classic North Indian special dessert made with moongdal (lentils), milk, sugar, and ghee. This was a treat too.

Jalebis

Jalebi, a dessert that holds a special place in the hearts of many! This delightful treat is made by frying dough into intricate swirls and then soaking them in sugar syrup. It has a crispy texture and sweet taste. Another sweet dish I’m head over heels for.

Ice Cream Rolls

This frozen treat hails from Thailand and is commonly known as stir-fried ice cream. It is prepared by rolling the ice cream mixture over a chilled slab, resulting in a smoother texture and improved consistency during the rolling process. During our visit, we tried the Watermelon flavour in this and really liked the addition of fruit to it.

Cakes, Fruits, and more Desserts
We had more dessert to try out! There were Chocolate Brownies, Donut Balls, Cut Fruits, Pastries, and Cupcakes. It was a good end to the huge meal we had.

We thoroughly enjoyed exploring Mediterranean delicacies and experiencing some novel dishes that were unfamiliar to us earlier. I highly recommend giving this a try, as I would rank it among the top buffets in Bangalore.
