Hi Everyone!
Today I will be sharing my simple budget friendly Caldereta Recipe. Calderata is very easy to made and delicious most specially when it was mixed with a newly cooked rice.
For this recipe I used a combination of chicken and pork ribs. If you’re looking for a recipe with a delicious one and at the same time budget friendly, you can try it. Chicken feet can be bought in a less than 40 pesos weighing 1 kilo. It’s very affordable than pork. So for now, I decided to mix it with pork to give additions to the meat for my Caldereta.
Here’s the Ingredients that I used :
Let me share with you a one by one picture of the ingredients for your easy reference:
1/2 kilo Pork Spare Ribs / 1/2 kilo Chicken Feet
1 piece Potato diced, 1 piece Carrots sliced and 2 pieces bell pepper sliced
4 pieces White Onion chopped
4 cloves Garlic crushed
1 can liver spread (reno)
1 piece 250 ml Original Tomato Sauce pouch
1 piece Fresh Gata in pouch 200 ml
Now, lets proceed on the step by step procedures on how to cook Caldereta.
Step 1. Put some water in the cooking pot (pressure cooker) add meat and salt and let it boil for 1 hour to make the meat tender. I also add some chicken feet since the pork is expensive. After the meat is boiled, set aside and place in a bowl.
Step 2 - Put oil in a pan and fry Potato, Carrots and Bell Pepper then set aside.
Step 3 - In a pan with oil, saute Onion and Garlic until Golden brown.
Step 4 - Add the cooked pork ribs and chicken feet.
Step 5 - Add liver spread to bring-out the delicious flavor.
Step 6 - Add 2 cups of water using the soup from the boiled meat.
Step 7 - Pour the Tomato Sauce and the Fresh Gata and stir.
Step 8 - Add 1 piece of Knorr Pork Cubes to bring-out a pork flavor of the sauce. Stir and let it boil.
Step 9 - Add the fried Potato, Carrots and Bell Pepper and let it boil for another 5 minutes.
Step 10 - Placed the cooked Caldereta in a bowl or tray, and serve with cooked rice.
That’s all for the 10 steps in cooking Caldereta. I hope you found this recipe simple yet delicious and budgetable. In this trying times, may we all see the value of money, and spend it more wisely particularly in cooking delicious, healthy and budget friendly menu for the whole family.
