Cooking my Husband's Favourite Dish "Chicken Sisig".

For today, I am going to share the recipe of my husband’s favorite dish, Chicken Sisig. To tell you some kinda short but a little bit funny story, this dish used to personally cooked by my husband during the Valentines Day celebration. Since we met, he used to cooked it for me. We don’t go to a fancy restaurants to eat, he will made this for me. Since we’re just two, half of the sisig will be schedule to eat for the following day. Because it’s too many for the two of us. That’s the story of our Sisig menu.

Anyways, to share you our own recipe, here’s the Chicken Sisig Ingredients:

  • 1 Kilo Chicken Breast cut into fillet slices

  • 5 pieces Onion Chopped

  • 1 tablespoon Sugar

  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce

  • 10 pcs Green Chili chopped into small pieces

  • 1 tsp Pepper

  • 2 packs Chicharon

  • 1 pack Mayonnaise

  • Optional : 1 tsp Vinegar and 1 or 2 Eggs

And now, here’s the step by step procedure on how to cook Chicken Sisig.

  • Step 1 - In a pan with oil, Fry the Chicken fillet stir until golden brown.

  • Step 2 : Add chopped onion and stir

  • Step 3: Add 1 tsp Vinegar, 1 Tsp Soy Sauce and Knorr Seasoning to add more chicken flavoring. Stir well to balance the color and flavor.

  • Step 4 : Add half amount of the green chopped Chili and 1 egg to lessen the oily sauce of the sisig.

  • Step 5: Add Sugar to come out the sweetness taste and add 1 tsp of pepper and stir

Step 6: Add 1 pack 250 ml Mayonnaise and stir well.

  • Step 7: Add another half amount of green chili chopped. (I personally add this in the end, to make the fresh and crunchy result of the chili).

  • Step 8: Filter the oil and set aside the sisig in a bowl or plate.

  • Step 9: Sprinkle the sisig with Chicharon on top.

  • Step 10: Serve with steamed hot rice and cold coca cola!

This preparation is very tasty and also curious. I didn't know they used the ground pork rinds to sprinkle on top of the chicken. Very interesting combination. Very good pictures. Greetings.
