Hello again beautiful people in this community.
Tonight I would like to share our sumptuous dinner, I called it Spicy Chicken and tofu with beans.
When you are a full time mom and you need to cook for your family, the hardest part is to think what to cook. Everyday I believe that it is the problem of every cook in the house. I am just lucky that I only cooked during weekends since I am working. But seriously, its quite hard thinking of menu that the whole family will love and agree.
At times, you will ask their opinion on what to cook for them, and then the answer is simple... ANYTHING! So What is anything?? Can anyone relate at my story??? I guess there's a lot who will agree that this is a hard decision.. :)
Anyway, for tonight I tried something new. Of course the chicken is the all time favorite of all ages. So, I made twist on how I can improve a chicken menu. So, I ended up with the below Ingredients.
Ingredients for the main course:
- 1 Whole Chicken cut into medium slices
- 1/2 kilo of Beans (Baguio Beans)
- 1 tablespoon of Paprika
- 1 tablespoon of Chili Powder
Cooking Oil - I whole Tofu cut into cube
- 1 Yellow Onion
- 1 clove of Garlic cut into small pieces
Ingredients for Chicken Breadings
- 1 cup All Purpose Flour
- 2 tablespoon Cornstarch (to make the chicken crunchy)
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Rock Salt
- 1 tablespoon seasoning mix
Now' Let's proceed on the step by step instruction of this recipe. First, we need to fry the Tofu and Chicken.
Step 1: In a Pan, add cooking oil and Fry the tofu (cut into cubes)
Step 2: Once all sides of the Tofu are golden brown in color, remove in a pan and set aside.
Step 3: In a plate, combined flour, cornstarch, seasoning mix, black pepper and salt. Place chicken in a flour mixture.
Step 4: In the same pan with oil, fry the chicken until golden brown.
Step 5: Once chicken is cooked, set aside and transfer in a plate.
Step 6: In a pan, Saute Garlic and Onion in oil until lightly brown.
Step 7: Add beans and stir.
Step 8: Add Paprika for color and spicy flavor.
Step 9: Add Chili Powder to add more spicy flavors
Step 10: Add seasoning mix to balance its saltiness. Stir well
Step 11: Add the fried Chicken and tofu and stir for 3-5 minutes.
Step 12: Transfer into bowl and serve.
