Hello hello people of hive !, I hope everyone is well. Today I want to teach you a little about our tradition, learn with me how to make cheese empanadas, YES typical Venezuelan empanada, the one we eat in every home when it causes us to eat something delicious ... And our empanadas are the best in the world !
Vamos a necesitar
- Harina de maíz precocida (si tienen harina marca PAN, empaque amarillo muchísimo mejor)
- Agua
- 2 cdas Azúcar
- 1 cda Sal
- Queso duro o semiduro llanero(en otros países pueden cambiarlo por un queso mozzarella que puedan rallar)
- Aceite para freír
- Bolsa de plástico
We are going to need Precooked corn flour (if they have PAN brand flour, yellow packaging much better)
- Water
- Sugar
- Salt
- Hard or semi hard llanero cheese (in other countries they can change it for a mozzarella cheese that they can grate)
- Oil for frying Plastic bag
Vamos a tomar la harina le agregamos el azúcar, la Sal y agua necesaria para crear una masa super manejable (NO debe quedar muy flojita para que no se abran en el sartén)
We are going to take the flour, add the sugar, salt and water necessary to create a super manageable dough (it should NOT be too loose so that they do not open in the pan)
Agarramos una bolsa y le colocamos un poquito de aceite, esparcimos y colocamos una bolita de la masa. Aplastamos hasta que nos quede un círculo con un grosos de medio cm aproximadamente.
We take a bag and put a little oil on it, spread and place a ball of the dough. Crush until we have a circle with a thickness of approximately half a cm.
Colocamos el relleno, doblamos hacia nosotros y con un plato hondo redondo vamos a cortar y a darle forma de empanada.
We place the filling, we fold towards us and with a round deep plate we are going to cut and shape it into an empanada.
En un sartén con abundante aceite a fuego medio colocas las empanadas (EL ACEITE DEBE ESTAR BIEN CALIENTE PERO NO DEBE ECHAR HUMO) cuando estén doraditas por ese lado volteamos y cuando estén listas(doradas por ambos lados) retiramos del sartén y escurrimos en papel absorbente y ya nuestras empanadas están ¡Listas para comer! Puedes acompañar con guasacaca (salsa tradicional de aquí, pronto les nuestro la Receta)
In a frying pan with plenty of oil over medium heat place the patties (THE OIL MUST BE VERY HOT BUT IT MUST NOT SMOKE) when they are golden brown on that side, turn and when they are ready (golden on both sides) remove from the pan and drain on absorbent paper and our empanadas are ready to eat! You can accompany with guasacaca (traditional sauce from here, soon we will our the Recipe)
