My quesillo recipe
En la cocina no hay mejor receta que la imaginación para agregar o quitar ingredientes a tu gusto, a veces hay que atreverse a crear cuando no tenemos algunos ingredientes.
No hay traducción para la palabra quesillo que aunque suena a queso sólo tiene leche por coincidencia en uno de sus ingredientes. El quesillo es un postre tradicional venezolano.

There is no translation for the word quesillo that, although it sounds like cheese, only coincidentally has milk in one of its ingredients. Quesillo is a traditional Venezuelan dessert.
Cada Navidad era mi costumbre preparar varios quesillos, además de la cena familiar que disfrutábamos, para que mis hermanos que vivian uno a cada lado de mi casa se llevaran un quesillo a su casa.
Pero hubo un momento en Venezuela que por carestía, precios elevados la leche condensada simplemente se desapareció de los estantes.
Unos meses después estaba leyendo unas recetas por internet y una amiga me comentaba que había preparado quesillo con leche en polvo. A mi se me pusieron los ojos grandotes. ¿Cómo no se me había ocurrió probar? Es leche a la final.
Every Christmas it was my custom to prepare several quesillos, in addition to the family dinner that we enjoyed, so that my brothers who lived one on each side of my house would take a quesillo home.
But there was a time in Venezuela when, due to scarcity and high prices, condensed milk simply disappeared from the shelves.
A few months later I was reading some recipes online and a friend told me that she had prepared quesillo with powdered milk. My eyes got big. How had I not thought to try? It's milk in the end.
Hice la prueba pero me fallo algo. La leche condensada tiene mucha azúcar, así que debía agregarsela, pero no fue suficiente. Me quedo poco dulce, pero perfecto de tamaño. Pero no importa fue una practica y aprendi mucho. La proxima me quedo mejor.
I did the test but something failed me. Condensed milk has a lot of sugar, so I had to add it, but it wasn't enough. I'm a little sweet, but perfect size. But no matter it was a practice and I learned a lot. The next one is better.
Ingredientes/Ingredients
1/2 taza azúcar.
6 huevos.
1/2 taza agua.Yo utilice 1 ¼ me gusta más espeso.
8 cdas leche en polvo o taza y media de leche liquida.
Alternativa 1 pote de leche condensada.
1 cucharada de vainilla o puedes usar licor a tu gusto.
Para el caramelo
8 cdas azúcar para el caramelo
Equipo baño de María.
1/2 cup sugar.
6 eggs.
1/2 cup water. I use 1 ¼ I like it thicker.
8 tbsp milk powder or cup and a half of liquid milk.
Alternative 1 pot of condensed milk
1 tablespoon of vanilla or you can use liquor to your liking.
For the candy
8 tbsp sugar for the caramel
Bain-marie equipment.
Prepara el caramelo.
Agregar en el recipiente metálico para quesillos azúcar para preparar el caramelo sobre la hornilla.
Con unas pinzas debemos mover constantemente evitando que se queme la mezcla hasta conseguir un color dorado.
Set up the candy.
Add sugar to the metal container for quesillos to prepare the caramel on the burner.
With tweezers we must move constantly avoiding the mixture to burn until we get a golden color.
Colocar en una licuadora: los huevos, la leche condensada o la leche en polvo o la leche liquida. Agrega un poco de agua.
Licuar hasta obtener una mezcla homogénea aproximadamente 4 minutos y añadir al final un poco de vainilla o 1 cucharada de ron o licor al gusto.
Place in a blender: eggs, condensed milk or powdered milk or liquid milk. Add a little water.
Blend until obtaining a homogeneous mixture, approximately 4 minutes and at the end add a little vanilla or 1 tablespoon of rum or liquor to taste.
Coloca la mezcla en el envase de quesillo y al baño de maria. Hay posibilidad de hornearlo tambien si le es más facil. En baño de maria requiere una hora o 45 minutos.
Cuando se enfrie desmolda con cuidado.
Place the mixture in the quesillo container and in a bain-marie. There is also the possibility of baking it if it is easier for you. In a bain-marie it requires one hour or 45 minutes.

Si mi falla la primera vez fue agregar poca azucar, ya que la leche condensada y súper dulce, pero no quedo tan mal. Ya probe con leche liquida y no me fue mal, pero debemos reducir el agua porque ya tiene agua la leche. Siempre queda delicioso. Espero que nos cuentes si lo llegas a hacer. Un abrazote @macumota09

They sell them in auto markets, I bought them in the Chinese, that's what we call it here. A round cake pan works but it has to be small to fit in a bain-marie, or in the oven. @beeber
there is a recipe that is even made in the microwave I have never done it

Que delicia, mi postre favorito yo me imagino que es por la leche el nombre del quesillo jejeje, lo que es indiscutible es su ricura, tiene una pinta que agua la boca jejeje se ve riquísimo, saludos.
El quesillo venezolano lleva este nombre en referencia al queso suizo, que tiene agujeros.
