Breakfast is very important for me, because it will provide energy for activities throughout the day. If I don't eat breakfast in the morning I will definitely feel dizzy, and I won't be able to focus when I'm doing my activities. I really like eating.
This time I will share a simple food which is usually sold a lot in the morning in my area, because most people in my area make this food as a snack in the morning, or as a substitute for eating rice in the morning.
This food is called lupis. Triangular shape, served with grated coconut and brown sugar sauce. It tastes sweet, savory. Because it has a triangular shape, when I was little, I always said that objects that were triangular were called lupis shapes. Lupis is a snack that has been around for a long time, even when my mother was little.
I bought this lupis at a small shop that specializes in selling lupis with cenil. For some reason we always pair lupis with cenil when eating it. But this time I specifically want to eat lupis. This lupis stall is quite famous in my area, famous because the lupis they sell are delicious, and a little different in the size of the lupis. Usually people make lupis in small sizes, but in this shop they make them in large sizes. Even though it is big, the lupis is perfectly cooked and the taste is really delicious. This stall has no name, and sells on the side of the road.
Lupis is made from sticky rice wrapped in banana leaves into a triangular shape, then boiled for a long time, about 2 hours. The green color of lupis comes from the banana leaves it is wrapped in. So the natural color comes from banana leaves when boiled.
The key to why lupis are delicious when eaten is the grated coconut that is sprinkled on the lupis when served and the brown sugar sauce. Not just any brown sugar is used to make the sugar sauce. To make the brown sugar sauce delicious, use real palm sugar which is made from sap extracted from palm trees.
This palm sugar sauce tastes delicious, different from brown sugar which is made from sugar cane.
I bought 3 lupis for Rp. 10,000,- or around 0.6 USD. I took the lupis home and enjoyed it at home. I immediately poured the brown sugar sauce over the lupis which had been smeared with grated coconut. And it tastes delicious, sweet and savory. I really enjoyed my breakfast.
Don't forget to have breakfast before your activities, so that your work will be more focused. If our stomach is empty during activities, it is not good for our health, and we will not even be in the mood during activities.
