Hello, how are you everyone, I hope we are always healthy and happy so we can carry out our activities well.
All friends, this time I will tell you about the quality of my time with my little family. Today my girls asked me to cook a special meal, because I haven't cooked for them for a long time. Sometimes because I'm busy, I don't have time to cook for them. I also went shopping to look for ingredients to cook for my family. My daughter asked for grilled tilapia, while my husband chose dried fish, so I bought both fish. After finishing shopping, I started cooking their choice of grilled fish.
I started by cleaning the fish and then slicing the fish meat so that the spices were absorbed perfectly during marination. After finishing cleaning the fish, I made the fish marinade.
Oh yes, for my cooking this time I prepared several ingredients:
- One tilapia weighing 350 grams
- Two dried fish weighing 300 grams
For the fish marinade I used: - tomato sauce
- soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic
- 4 bay leaves
- Grated cheese
You can adjust the amount of sauce and soy sauce to taste, I used quite a lot of sauce and soy sauce so that there was enough to coat the fish when grilling. The cheese is sprinkled on top of the fish when the fish is cooked.
First step
I crushed the garlic using a stone mortar, after it was smooth I mixed it with tomato sauce, soy sauce and bay leaves. After mixing everything, I coated the fish with the marinade spices, and left a third of the spices to be used as a rub when grilling the fish later.
Waiting for the spices to completely penetrate the fish, I also prepared the seasoning for the soy sauce as a complement when eating the grilled fish later.
For the soy sauce, I prepared:
- 10 pieces of cayenne pepper
- 4 red chilies
- 2 cloves garlic
- Soy sauce 60 ml
- 1 tomato
- 7 red onions
How to make:
First I crushed all the chilies and garlic using a stone mortar, then I sliced the shallots and cut the tomatoes into small dice. After the chilies and garlic were smooth, I mixed the sliced shallots and tomatoes into the stone mortar, then I poured in the soy sauce and stirred until the spices were all mixed together. And the soy sauce is finished. Oh yes, I use all raw ingredients so it tastes fresher.
After the soy sauce was finished, I started grilling the fish on the grill, I used medium heat so that the fish didn't burn. In about 30 minutes the fish looked cooked, while grilling I rubbed on the spices left over from marinating the fish to make it taste better. I don't turn the fish often, because I'm afraid it will fall apart if I turn it too often. I used a simple grill, but the fish turned out really good.
After the fish was cooked, I sprinkled grated cheese over the grilled fish, and the cheese melted beautifully over the fish.
Sorry I didn't have time to take a photo when grating the cheese and eggplant
After the fish was perfectly cooked, I arranged it on a plate with basil leaves and grilled eggplant for fresh vegetables and made it look beautiful.
My husband prepared a place for us to eat in the backyard, wow, eating with my little family in the backyard, felt like we were on a picnic. And they ate with such gusto that there was no fish or soy sauce left. They praised my cooking, they thought the grilled fish with cheese was delicious and the soya sauce was also delicious.
It's nice that they enjoy my cooking happily. Hopefully I can always provide delicious food for them. this is my story, thank you
Regards.
