My warmest hello to one and all. How are you there? Hope everybody is fine and doing great.
Recently, I have observed the inflation rate of the goods especially in our basic needs which is why sometimes or I mean most of the time we seek ways how to save penny intended for the following days.
We have our garden planted with vegetables and spices so that we don't need to buy for it. We will just pick it up in our garden.
It is difficult to spend more money and then the following days we don't have something left and nothing to eat.
As a mother and a wife, I innovated something that would help to save money and my family still enjoyed it as well.
It was early in the morning when I was about to prepare for our breakfast. I looked at our pot and there was still cooked rice left. Rice left over from last night's meal.
What did I do?
To save the leftover, I innovate something special. Still, savory and nutritious preparation that my family will still enjoy.
The Ingredients
Leftover rice
1 to 2 medium size spring onions
3 to 5 cloves of garlic
2 eggs
Soy sauce
Cooking oil
Salt and pepper
The Procedures
Step 1. Slice the garlic and onions into small pieces.
Step 2. Prepare the cooked rice.
Step 3. Beat the eggs and prepare to fry.
Step 4. Prepare the frying pan set the fire to medium heat and add oil.
Step 5. Pour the beaten eggs into the pan and mix well using the spatula.
Step 6. Mix it thoroughly until it looks like this.
Step 7. Put it in a bowl and set aside.
Step 8. Put the frying pan again to the heat and add the cooking oil.
Step 9. Put the sliced spices and mix. Let the aroma of the spices evaporate until you can smell it.
Step 10. Add the cooked rice and mix it thoroughly. At this moment it will take more time to mix.
Step 11. Add soy sauce and the fried eggs and mix it well until all is well blended.
Step 12. Turn the heat to low while blending the mixture
Step 13. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Step 14. When all is done, prepare a serving bowl of fried rice and sprinkle the spring onions at the top.
Grilled Fish in the Pan
We bought fresh fish at the market and it cost 40 pesos per kilo or 0.7 USD and we grilled it in the pan to avoid too much oil. We used our non-stick pan.
The simple ingredients
1 kilo of Fish
Salt
The Procedures
Step 1. Wash the fish thoroughly and put them in a clean container. Put a little amount of salt and mix.
Step 2. Prepare the frying pan and set the fire to medium heat.
Step 3. Sprinkle a salt in the pan and let it hot.
Step 4. Put and pile the fish inside the pan and utilize the space.
Step 5. To check if it is cooked use the spatula or thongs. When the first side is cooked already turned to the other side. Repeat the process for all the remaining fish.
Step 6. When it is done, put it on a plate and serve.
Taraa let's eat and enjoy!
This is now our Fried Rice and Grilled Fish ready to serve.
This is a meal that is easy to prepare and affordable as well. My family enjoyed it a lot. Next time around we will pair our fried rice with veggie soup or noodles. I'm so happy to prepare meals for my family.
