Hi Hive friends ☺ Today I am going to show you the recipe of how the Spanish make torrijas.They are usually made at Easter and are a typical dessert of this holiday.

√ 1 baguette (left over from the day before).
√ 3 eggs
√ 500 ml fresh milk
√ cinnamon
√ zest of orange peel
√ sugar
√ 400 ml water
√ oil

While the milk is heating we cut the baguette into slices and put them aside.When the milk is ready we let them cool.We put the pan with oil to heat and in a bowl we beat 3 eggs and start to dip the slices one by one in the milk and then in the eggs and put them in the pan.We fry them until they are golden brown and when they are ready we put them on a tray with paper on top so that it absorbs the fat.


Mientras se calienta la leche cortamos la baguette en rodajas y las dejamos a un lado.Cuando la leche esté lista las dejamos enfriar.Ponemos la sartén con aceite a calentar y en un bol batimos 3 huevos y empezamos a mojar las rodajas una a una en la leche y luego en los huevos y las ponemos en la sartén.Las freímos hasta que estén doradas y cuando estén listas las ponemos en una bandeja con papel encima para que absorba la grasa.

Cuando se fríen todas las rodajas en un bol mezclamos el azúcar y la canela y enrollamos todas las rodajas.Y ya están listas y se pueden comer,pero si se quieren hacer más jugosas en un cazo se viertemos 400 ml de agua y se añadimos 200 gramos de azúcar y la ponemos al fuego y la dejamos hasta que hierva.Se disponen las rodajas en una bandeja y se vierten con el almíbar y se dejan reposar toda la noche.
