So its a Solution morning Fri-Yay (Friday). To all the foodies in the house, were u frustrated the last time your cake came out burnt?

Yes I know. You followed all the rules, did exactly what the recipe told you but yet, it still came out burnt in less than 20 minutes. Now here is why.

  1. Your oven temperature was high. Yes it was. Different cakes have different oven temperature. In a bit to get your cake ready more quickly, you must have increased the temperature thus causing your cake to burn and fall.

  2. Directly under the heat. This happens frequently in the case of those who bake with the local method. You must've placed your cake pan directly on the pot bottom. No, that's wrong. When using the no-oven method to bake, you must first place tins (may be tin of milk or tomatoes or anything) inside the pot before placing your cake pan. Calm down, its simple. Get 3 or 5 tin of equal length, place it inside your pot and place your cake pan on the tins. Make sure the cake pan is balanced on the tin.

Or here's another method: do you have a flat stainless/metal plate? Perfect. Use that. Turn the plate upside down and place it in the pot, then put your cake pan on top it. Simple right? I know.

  1. Not properly oiling your pan could also cause your cake to burn.

  2. Another cause could be high level of sugar or liquid content. Yes.

So now you know better, am sure you are getting ready to bake another cake tomorrow and try sticking to this rules. Go for it, and do it right. Remember, no high temperature, no placing it directly under the heat, no improper oiling and definitely no too much sugar and liquid content (I know you're friends with the sugar) and your cake will come out perfectly in shape with you smiling and wowing.
